Being honest I had low expectations going in, but I’ll tell you the steak was wayyy better than I expected and cooked perfectly medium-rare. I also had their ribs which I ordered dry rubbed. They were fall off the bone seasoned just right. The price was spot on for the quality and all the animals on the wall reminded of some other favorite places I’ve been to in Texas. Oh , and those free beingets? Honestly better than Cafe Dumonde in New Orleans! Fun, good vibes and solid food.

I spotted 2 easy vegetarian options, the vegetable plate where you choose 3 vegetarian sides, or the veggie burger. They have fried green tomatoes! Super friendly service with Dom and they had some fish in a pond to keep your eyes busy while you wait for food. Fun spot. Lots of odd food things to try if you are a carnivore and explorative.

This place is a riot. We felt like we got a true southern experience. So committed to the theme and ambiance. There is a lovely catfish pond and fun decor everywhere. We loved all the animals and the full-size truck. The good was wonderful. Some of the best frog legs and gator I’ve ever had. The fried shrimp had a lovely crispy, light batter. The bison was not overly gamey and quite tender for such a lean cut of meat. The steak was cooked just right and had a nice sear. I loved the hush puppies and the baked beans are some of the best I’ve ever had. The price was extremely reasonable, especially for the portion. The staff all had that charming southern hospitality and they seemed like they wanted to be there and wanted us there. We really enjoyed this place.

I highly recommend this place! The atmosphere is cool and laid-back, with a fun country vibe and even taxidermy animals. The service is top-notch, and the food is absolutely delicious. We had a fantastic time and are already planning my next visit when I come through Nashville ! Plus, the water feature towards the back of the restaurant adds a nice touch to the overall dining experience. And the ribs were so tender I could eat them with a fork, the meat just pulled right off the bones. Customer Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was late. So I would potentially try it again if we are ever in the area. Over cooked elk sliders and the baby back ribs seemed warmed up from earlier prep. Service was great. Everyone was friendly. Nice blue grass band playing. Not too loud. Cute decor.

I would 10 out of 10. Recommend this restaurant to anyone anytime.
We were in Nashville and we are looking for somewhere to eat that was close to the Opry Mall and we just happened to see this on the corner and we were like. Let’s just go here and eat and we’ll see what it’s all about.
All of the stuff there was super nice. The building is super clean. It’s big. There’s actually like a little mini pond in there. They have real animals that have been taxidermied and the food there is excellent.
Our server’s name was Griffin and we found out that he’s actually in a band there and they actually have their own albums out. He had moved there from Minnesota and he works there as a server.
We actually ended up going back there a second time when we went back to Nashville the night before we were flying home and the server we had at that time was just as good as Griffin.
They have a cute little ice cream shop called Mimi’s ice cream shop. That is just through a door in the same building that the restaurant is in.

My wife and I wanted to try something new with the new year, and this place was actually a little cheaper than I expected it might be. And considering the quality of the food here, it is very well worth it! The bison burger is excellent, and so is the dish my wife got, with frog legs, catfish, cod, fried okra, and shrimp. I think because it was our first time they gave us corn fritters on the house as well 🙂
Definitely a great date night place!

This is a very large restaurant with a lot of seating and taxidermy. The service was great and very friendly. The catfish bites were great and very fresh. The ribs were not as great as expected. I definitely would not classify them as the best ribs in Nashville as they claimed. They were overcooked and fell off the bone, looking more like pulled pork. They tasted like they were steamed. The beans & okra were ok nothing spectacular. They both tasted like they were frozen or canned products.

Overall, this was a decent place to eat near Opryland. I decided on the platter with Elk, Alligator, Stew, Frog Legs, and Game Sausage. The sausage was well flavored and the elk patties had a nice sear. The cornmeal coating on the Alligator bites and frog legs was very tasty. I also ordered the catfish nuggets which have the same coating. The major drawback was the stew. Very water and little to no flavor. The surprise was the complimentary corn fritters which came out first and had a nice amount of powdered sugar.
If I am back here, I would probably go for the rib and catfish combo instead.
The service was good and very friendly even though it was a very busy night.
