Quaint location with friendly, quick service. Unfortunately, the brisket was almost as dry as the cornbread. The meat wasn’t juicy at all and needed to be lathered in sauce just to revive it. The cornbread was like one of those silica packets that absorb all moisture, and the cold butter it was served with didn’t help.

However, the mac and cheese was a godsend—al dente noodles, velvety sauce, and plenty of cheese stretch. The collard greens were wonderfully zesty and vinegary (which I love). The potato salad was delicious too—flavorful without being overly mayo-y. The pulled pork was great—juicy and tender.

They have a small parking lot, but it fills up quickly. The interior of the restaurant is also extremely small, so your best bet is to eat outside on their covered patio.

There’s always delicious food and friendly staff at Buckshot Honey. Their niche in the BBQ world are the fantastic sandwiches, pairing perfectly smoked meat with a variety of other ingredients to form the stars of the menu. Don’t overlook the specials; sous chef Taps is given the freedom to incorporate his Filipino heritage and create truly unique dishes that never fail to delight, such as the smoked chicken thigh sandwich with smoked peach chutney, chimichurri, and tomato jam (I ordered it without cheese & mayo).

My mom usually doesn’t enjoy meat—especially BBQ or smoked meats—but she took one bite of the Dave’s Way brisket sandwich at Buckshot Honey and immediately said, “This is so good!” She was genuinely impressed.

The flavor wasn’t too overpowering, the meat was tender and juicy, and everything—from the roasted onions to the pickled peppers and cheese-whiz—came together perfectly. Even someone who normally avoids meat found it absolutely delicious.

It was such a special moment because it’s rare for my mom to rave about food like that. Whether you’re a meat lover or not, this place is 100% worth a visit.

Buckshot Honey recently catered an event I hosted in Snoqualmie. They were incredible to work with. Their owner helped curate a menu that met a variety of food allergies and preferences. The food was phenomenal and we were very pleased. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Phenomenal!!! Best brisket/bbq combo in the Greater Seattle that I’ve had so far. The pictures suck because I started eating too fast, lol. The meat was tender, moist, flavorful. The one piece has both types of bbq sauce, one being a KC style with a Filipino flare and the other being a Carolina style. The greens, the cornbread, the apple butter, the fresh made Marionberry lemonade, EXCELLENT! The service was top shelf as well. No complaints other than I wish I bought more meat. After, you can walk it off through town or by the river. 10/10

so to start off, the person helping us was so so nice and the atmosphere was great! we got two mac and cheese bowls, one with brisket and one with the pulled pork, and the meat on both was great and the cornbread was tasty but the mac and cheese itself was really not good. i am a mac and cheese lover so i do not say this lightly! it was pretty good when paired with all the cornbread and chips and meat but once you really get to the bottom and there’s only mac and cheese left it was honestly a bit inedible.

Yummy!

-Dave’s way sandwhich was amazing!
-Add some of their house bbq sauce and oh my goodness! We both were in awe.
-The brisket was truly delicious and tender.

– collard greens were so good!

-potatoe salad, also good but not as much wow factor, but I mean it’s potatoe salad it’s not that crazy, we were happy!

-The Mac bowl. Not as much of a fan, it was presented beautifully but we have some criticism:
-The brisket on top was really good of course.
-The corn bread was, I hate to say this, but it was just straight up bad. No flavor and reallllly dry and hard. I make cornbread from a box that’s better than that.
-the Mac, creamy and cheesy and noodles were chewy which we liked, however no seasoning? Personally this feels like a no no to be to have to rely on adding bbq sauce and brisket to Mac in order for it to have spices.
-instead of brisket we could have had it topped with collard greens, I honestly can’t imagine that option. We tried a few bites of collard greens with the Mac and it was very odd.

One thing I will say, if you’re someone like me who normally eats very clean, not a lot of cheese or fat or heavy greasy porky foods, the Mac bowl may not be for you! yes I enjoyed it for the most part but omg it was heavy! Not for the faint hearted. Luckily my husband and I were splitting the sandwhich and the bowl together, there’s no way I could just sit and eat all that. If you like heavy foods you’ll likely love it, minus the unseasoned Mac and the dry cornbread.

Staff was super friendly and we genuinely enjoyed our meal, most of all the sandwhich and the sides we had with it. We wouldn’t order the Mac bowl again, just not for us.

Came to grab some brisket because of the other reviews, and can’t believe this is what people are raving about. I had to come look at other pictures and reviews to make sure we were at the right place after a few bites.

The brisket was incredibly dry and overcooked, we had to drown it in the sauce to make it passable. Pulled pork was also dry like it had been sitting in a heating tray for days. The sides were the only thing saving it, and even then, nothing to write home about.

If you’re wanting to stop for a quick meal in the area, this is the spot. They also have alcohol as well for the more slow paced population. The sad part is, this restaurant does not always or even rarely pops up on google when you’re searching for food in the area. Check them out and then you can rate my review lol thank you for a great meal and customer service! We’ll be back again, for sure!

My family made reservations here for 11am brunch and we loved it! 10 of us + 2 toddlers dined family style with two Si Boards, one rack of ribs (Sunday special), and one extra side of Mac and cheese for the kiddos. We were stuffed, but polished everything off no problem.

Everything was super good, but the brisket stole the show. I also loved the collard greens and I’m not usually a huge fan of them. Everything had a unique and local twist that I really appreciated. It was also fun having the owner check on us – shows that he really takes pride in the restaurant.

For dessert, they had a limited number of carrot cakes from a local bakery that were the best I’ve ever had.
