Staff is very friendly and food is surprisingly good for a military base, glad to eat there while going through training. Also allows seconds and to go boxes for people on the go.

Would rather eat MRE’s. Portions are small and it’s amazing how bland the food is. Breakfast is the best meal you can get here but other than that I dread going to this chowhall. Staff is friendly though.

The food here is up to military standards. Could be a bit faster in serving food but that’s also partially some of the slow Marines’ fault.

Easily one of the best chow halls in the Marine Corps. Much better than anything at Lejuene.

This is not Camp Johnson, its Montford Point. I remember water survival instructor’s school as well FROC school. It was a memorable dump back then. Old one story barracks….very depressing but memorable as a life changing experience with the corp. Why did they change the name? Most of Lejeune was constructed during WW II. The Montford Point barracks were uniquely different from the two story red brick barracks housing most of the Marines.

Definitely, one of the better galleys in the military. Very clean and well prepared. Coffee is a little strong. Even for me. And I drink it black. But that is really my only gripe.

I love that you can always go back for seconds and that the food is free! The lunch ladies and gentlemen are nice and they’re always willing to workwith you. The best part is the Omelette they are awesome.
