I’ve been going to Calumet Bakery for years, so I decided to order my mom’s 60th birthday cake from them this year. I purchased a two-tier marble cake with vanilla custard, which cost $150. Unfortunately, once my mom cut into the cake, we realized there was way too much icing, almost a full inch of icing, surrounding it while the actual marble cake layer was very thin. I was extremely disappointed, especially given the price and my past positive experiences.

Initially, I was very disappointed with the first cake we received for my son’s third birthday. Honestly, it looked like a five-year-old had put it together. The caramel on top wasn’t spread properly, the strawberries weren’t spaced evenly or facing the same way, and the writing didn’t look good at all. To make things worse, when we cut into the cake on his birthday, we discovered there was no filling inside—just plain cake.
However, when we went back and told them about it, Calumet Bakery handled the situation amazingly. They were kind, understanding, and didn’t hesitate to make things right. They gave us an entirely new cake, and this one was absolutely gorgeous—beautifully decorated, perfectly made, and exceeded our expectations in every way.
Because of their great customer service and how quickly they resolved the issue, I’m still giving them five stars. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them says everything. Thank you, Calumet Bakery, for turning a disappointing experience into a wonderful one—we’ll definitely be back!

I ordered a cake for my kid’s birthday over the phone, and they were very helpful in the ordering process. When I picked up the cake, it went very quickly and the cake was beautiful. All of our family and friends were impressed with how pretty the cake was decorated. We ordered an atomic cake with chocolate on top + chocolate covered strawberries. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. From the whipped cream frosting to the decadent chocolate top, to the fresh bananas and strawberries inside the cake…it was perfect and probably the best cake I’ve ever eaten. I highly recommend this bakery if you want fresh, quality ingredients and a delicious treat.

Fat Tuesday was crazy and insane here! But the staff was moving and so efficient. I thought I would be there forever. It had to be 50 people and more coming in. People were parked on the sidewalk.
If a place is that busy it tells you that they have great food and in this case great desserts.
The Paczki were huge and delicious! The specialty ones like strawberry and creme were amazing. Good desserts here!!!

I was on a quest for something sweet again. The exterior looked inviting and I was ready to give this place a try.
My significant other and I walked inside. There was a sign that stated PLEASE Take A Number. Our Number was H38. I browsed around to see what was offered. We were called on and then we went to the counter to order. I put our Number in the Old tickets Here! bucket.
In the FROM THE COOLER section, Assorted Cake Slices Chocolate Covered were $4.25. I got one of those.
We sat down at a table for a moment to relax. That was a nice feature they had.
After I got home, I tried it out. The first bite was okay. It seemed dry to me. After the second bite, I was bored. It lacked flavor. I wasn’t impressed.
The service was decent. I didn’t have an issue with it.
Overall, I had an alright experience here. I wouldn’t be in a rush to go again.

Wow! Tres Leches , Eclairs, butter cookies and everything you could ever want from an excellent bakery. Highly recommend! Decorations for Christmas along with Christmas treats for all!

They did such a great job on the cake! Look how cute it is. And they made the process of ordering super easy. They had lots of ideas to show me of how to decorate. It was a younger guy that helped me order and he was great at customer service. And the cake was super yummy with the fudge icing and raspberry filling.
