Housed in a historic building at La Conner waterfront, this is a homage to grandma cooking with a PNW twist

This has been a long time favorite stop for lunch or a mid day snack. The bakery items are great! The sandwiches and chili are very tasty. They also serve a nice breakfast. Great stop at the end of town! It’s good for a family or friends to meet for a coffee and snack.

Small town USA is alive and well. This place is incredible. The food is amazing. The mimosas were so good I forgot pics before we drank them all… and the staff was incredible. Highly recommend.

I really wanted this to be a better meal than it was.

Quaint place, friendly service. We went there twice for breakfast/brunch over a girl’s weekend. The food was hit & miss over the weekend. First time my egg white omelette hardly had any eggs in it. It seriously looked like just a pile of vegetables. Waitress felt bad and deducted few dollars off the bill (very kind as I didn’t request that). Next day my daughter’s scrambled eggs were over cooked and the waitress had cook remake them. (We are very easy going and rarely complain). We love that they have so many options for breakfast and lunch and offer inside or outdoor seating.

Every time I am in LaConner, I’d be sure to stop at calico cupboard old town café. I love their almond croissants, as well as the raspberry white chocolate scones. I’ve never had breakfast or lunch here, but it looks good as well. They have lots of cool merchandise for sale as well.

Really wanted to like this place, but poor service overshadowed the experience. The good things: lots of great food options, including gluten free; our party of 6 was seated within 15 minutes; the food was delicious; the waitress was really lovely; and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable.

Great lunch on the waterfront. Salmon tacos were delicious. Coconut cream pie was the best we ever had. They lost two stars because the minimum tip amount presented to us was 22% on the mobile credit card machine. Tipping has gotten completely out of control. 15% was an appropriate tip for the service provided, and should be the default on the machine. It was a casual lunch, not a 7-course dinner at the Ritz. Putting patrons in the awkward position of having to figure out the machine and tip while the server is standing there is inappropriate, sneaky, and off-putting. Also, the tip was calculated on the valve that included tax, not the value of the served food; again, sneaky and completely within the merchant’s control.

So good! Great staff, and even late on a busy Saturday morning, I was seated pretty much right away by sitting out back on the water. They even provided a blanket! I ate the butternut squash hash with lots of veggies and gorgonzola cheese. It was a great choice, but I’d love to see what else they have! Everything looked so good, and it’s so nice sitting by the bridge and the water.
