As expensive as this food was it wasn’t worth it at all. The $19 crab cake burger was small and flavorless, the wings and fries were incredibly mid almost like American Deli quality, and for $19 I barely got any calamari, now I understand calamari is already expensive but it was borderline inedible, thin and bland. A complete waste of money and will probably never go back.

This is a hidden gem that’s just right outside the perimeter. The food was prepared fresh and very delicious. The gumbo is a bit salty, but otherwise packs lots of flavor with chunk of seafood, sausage & chicken in every bite. Oysters were surprisingly really fresh and prepared scrumptiously. The fried fish platters are recommended with large portion sizes. Drink are STRONG! Don’t sleep on the sizes of the drink because they pack a punch & will sneak up on you. The live music was amazing! Shoutout to Cannonball Red and the Head Hunters who put on an amazing blues show (check them out on instagram @cannonballred_). Great blues spot with great people. Check them out!

What a gem! Stopped in for lunch with a seafood loving friend.

•Spicy Gumbo was fantastic.
•Fried shrimp were as good as any coastal seafood joint. Super fresh.
•Shrimp Po Boy was excellent & HUGE!
•Best Surprise: Philly Cheesesteak! Was sliced NY Strip. -Not a ton of meat, but enough to fill you up. Bread super fresh too! (Was so good forgot to take a picture first)
•Military Friendly too!

Our server was supersweet & very attentive.
Will be back for sure!

We went there with a large group of friends. The crawfish was okay guess out of season so understandable. All other things were good, even the salad and French fries were super tasty. Very good service too and family ambient. Taking one star off because food was salty for all of us.

I’ve come here a couple times since I live in the area. The first time was because I was craving some fresh oysters. The oysters were great and the bartender, Cory, was very nice and accommodating. The second time was to grab a drink and hear some live music. It was more packed but I had a good time. The same bartender was there and made sure to provide me with a much needed libation.

The music was also really great. It was nice to sip and hear some live music. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the ladies restroom. Sometimes those things are a toss-up at restaurants.

I look forward to coming back for more live music, drinks and to try more dishes.

My favorites were fried crispy seafood platter, shrimp scampi, tartar sauce.
Gumbo: average and a bit salty.
No ginger wings were available.
No live music in the wintertime.
Happy hour drink prices are good. You can order any beverage for 25% off.

This is a cozy place to go, chat, and hang out with friends if you’re in the area.

I was in the area and happened to see Cajun Blues and decided to stop in for a quick bite. It was around lunchtime on a weekday. There were only a handful of people in the restaurant. Rita (Auntie) told me I could sit wherever I wanted, so I sat at the bar. She gave me the run down of the restaurant; everyone is family. I really liked that she makes it a point to get to know everyone and make the restaurant kinda like Cheers.
I ordered the fried calamari and char grilled oysters. The food came out pretty quickly and was good. The oysters could’ve been cooked a little longer. They tasted like raw oysters topped with baked Parmesan.
I will definitely be back for the live music and dinner.

We ordered The Gumbo as a starter! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We also ordered the whiting fish Po Boy, the ginger wings and fries. The service from Monique was very good. She was very personable and the restaurant was very nice inside… can’t wait to return for dinner and jazz!!! ❤️❤️❤️

On a business trip and stopped in for some seafood.
To our delight a local community of people with various musical styles began to perform one at a time.
The food was amazing.
The music was great. We got there around 6 and ended up not leaving till they were closing the doors.

Highly reccomend.

Expectations were low as it’s hard to find good Cajun/creole food away from home (native Louisiana CA here). Gumbo is a strong 4.5 stars. Tasty, spicy but a bit salty which could be a personal preference.

Shrimp PO Boy, fail. 1 star. It was tasty, shrimp had good flavor but one of the most basic things that nearly all restaurants outside of New Orleans get wrong, is the bread. It is NEVER served on a soft hoagie roll. Bread needs to be crisp, tough but soft on the inside French bread. Normally no big deal but when your specialty is Cajun food and list a Po boy on the menu, getting one of the main ingredients is important. Other wise its just a expensive sandwich. Will try again and update review based on other dishes.
