We are located in the heart of Lipari! You can find us in Piazza di Marina Corta, in front of the statue of San Bartolo, the patron saint of the island. We are open from 8:00 a.m. for our homemade breakfast until midnight. For lunch and dinner, we recommend booking in advance using the contact details available online. We had lunch here and we had the eolian pasta which was delicious and the pasta a la norma, we really enjoyed it. As dessert we took the canoli which was really good and they offered us littles biscuits with a liqueur. The waiter was very friendly and he spoke English and French. The service was a little bit slow, we passed an hour for the lunch, but the waiter was polite and he presented his excuses.

It’s rare to find great food and a view of the sea. Here the octopus was cooked perfectly and the pasta was as good as any we’ve had in Italy. Incredibly fast and friendly service. True gem and a must stop if you’re in town.

Amazing restaurant! Bartolo was a great waiter – communicated the specials of the day and enticed us with his signature cocktail. The seafood was fresh as it was caught that day, filled with great flavours. Delicious wines and cocktails. Overall it was a fantastic experience and would highly recommend.

I had an aeolian salad which was honestly really good, the tuna was really fresh!
But the portion size was really small for the money I payed and the service was a bit slow and disorganized. The location is really cute.

Really lovely place, great service and cosy terrace right in the middle of a small port. The food is excellent and clearly freshly made, menu changes daily and is full of local dishes and ingredients. Ate here twice and loved it both times!! Also try the ricottamisu, it’s amazing

La Vela is a great place to eat when in Lipari. Beautiful seaside location next to the marina. Looks more like a coffee bar but has a rich menu of delicious dishes. The owner is very friendly and and offers fast service.
We were there at the start of the Corona so the town was starting to close up but we still felt at home there at La Vela.
