I came here on the recommendation of a family member and I really have nothing to say except the food is really delicious. The restaurant is not large so you’ll want to get there early to put your name in. It’s well worth any wait you may face to get in as the food is exceptional.

Excellently prepared chicken schnitzel. I highly recommend the Dijon lemon sauce, it was a special offering today, so get it if they have it available. If not, then default to the jaegerschnitzel, you won’t regret it.

This was such an awesome dining experience. The food was so good!! Best Schnitzel I’ve had in such a long time. Of the food I had on my trip to Richmond, this was my favorite. Also the prices were pretty reasonable.

Authenticate German cuisine with unbeatable taste! You’ll need an appetite straight from Germany itself to finish your plate! From the fluffy focaccia bread, to the smooth helles beer and drool inducing snitzel, you won’t be able to stop eating until you enter a food comma. The staff there even add to the vibe by greating you with a “Wilkommen” upon arrival and various German phrases throughout your stay. Just make sure you arrive there early! Just like the custom in Germany to sit, dine and relax, once their tables fill up it may be hours until one frees up!

I had been meaning to try this place for years and I wish I had done it sooner. The food was wonderful and the portions generous. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent. I don’t drink anymore but the beer selection was also very good with some unique German beers. The meal was so good I bought a T-shirt. I’ll definitely be back.

Great little hole in the wall restaurant. Food tastes amazing and the German beer is delicious as well. Definitely very close to, if not authentic German food. The only 2 downsides to this place (but that I couldn’t justify giving a 4 star rating for), it’s very small so 4 people are squished together at a small table and it was extremely warm inside the night we were there. Not sure if they didn’t have A/C or if it was just off but it was really warm. Great servers and really nice homey feeling. They’ll put you on a wait list if they’re busy, just walk around the corner and hang out at the English pub.

AMAZING food, probably the best schnitzel I’ve ever had. Good German beers, and fantastic desert. My favorite restaurant in RVA, no doubt.

A delightful experience. This is a very small row restaurant with street parking right outside. They have a small menu but everything was absolutely outstanding! We had the yeagerschnitzel with spaetzels and sauerkraut, and the schnitzel special with a Dijon cream sauce. We had chocolate pate with almond crust for desert.

“Tolles Essen und Leute, einfach wunderbar!” Finally a German Restaurant in Richmond where you can get some good schnitzel and other delectable Deutsch food and beer. Not a hugh place, but with its own hole in the wall charm. At certain times, the booths are only reserved for larger parties, so as a couple, we sat at the bar. This place can get packed, so it’s good to figure out the timing so you don’t have a long wait. Mike is just great! Believe he may be the owner, but he took the time to walk us through the menu and explain the German Beers to my wife and what they would go with. Even gave her a small tasting of a few, which she fell in love with them all. We got the German Mac n Cheese, with a bratwurst and Pork Schnitzel special with a cheese on top. Everything was great! Even the bread they brought out first. Portions are huge! It all was cooked to order and seemed homemade. We had plenty to bring home. Even ended with a massive slice of Black Forest Cake. Can’t wait to go back and ear again!
