I ordered a sweet pork salad. It was as expected until I crunched on a small rock! Ouch! I’m glad I didn’t break a tooth. It made me wonder if the salad is getting washed.

I used love cafe Rio. The staff is always rude and we decided to try it one more time. This is the shrimp taco I got. The shrimp is so hard I couldn’t even bite through it and I called and they said they could give me a credit in the app. I mentioned that the coupons aren’t even working in the app. I wouldn’t even be able to use the credit. After fighting them for money back for my inedible food. They finally said they would credit my card back they said it would take up to 2 weeks…..it never came they just lied to me.

i door dash here, & the wait time is absolutely terrible. i understand customer service in the food industry & i understand being slammed with orders. but it seems as if the staff doesn’t care & people haven’t been properly trained. the younger boy who works the register, bless his heart, was not trained it seems like at all. he isn’t paying attention & doesn’t seem to understand his job. they completely ignore doordash or people that ordered online for pick up. we have to wait 20 minutes + & are ignored. shift leads/ management, it’s obvious who you are when we have to sit & wait & your morale effects your employees work ethic. please do better. also what’s up with the minions dying quote of the day ?? insensitive & disgusting.

I have been ordering through the app a lot more, and I have been very pleased with the accuracy of my order when I come to pick it up. There have only been a couple of times that one or two things were missing, and the staff was very happy to make sure that I got what was needed. The food always tastes fresh. At times, the tortillas can seem a bit dry or as if they had been sitting out for awhile, but that also does not happen too often. Overall, very pleased with this specific location! Highly recommend.

After basically giving up on Cafe Rio a couple years ago due to the service and food quality at the River Road location we decided to stop in give it a shot. The staff was absolutely amazing. Fast friendly service and the food was pretty great too.

Food was OK but service was lousy!!! A group of 4 adults & 2 kids arrived at 5 pm. We were first in line and it took 5 minutes of us standing there before they took our order and even then, they did not start preparing because mobile orders were bumping us. There was no coconut shrimp ready (daily special), and no nacho chips ready. We were told it would be a few minutes to wait. We had already waited 5 minutes and now we got to 10. Once they started preparing our food, again mobile orders bumped us out of line. They focused on that and not our order. The staff, a girl and guy had lousy customer service attitude. They also had to ask us several times what we wanted. It took just short of 15 minutes for all of us to get our order before we could sit down. There did not appear to be anyone in charge or adult staff to ensure the line was working properly and efficiently. I also noticed that several of the bins were empty. When we went to leave, the garbage bins were full. I was not impressed though we have been there several times and had good service. This particular moment in time, 5 pm, March 23rd was a terrible experience.

After waiting 20 minutes and only getting threw half way up to the counter we left. They were maybe short staffed or something but they were all kinda in their own world taking their time making orders. On top of us leaving, I watched 7 other people leave while we were in line. I even wasted a $5 off coupon because the lack of being unable to use it. I might as well throw away my gift card too if this is how they operate.

All I can suggest is, pay your employees more so they actually want to do a good job and not get fired. After a few years, this is definitely the worst I’ve gotten from Cafe Rio. Photo is my “salad”. There’s literally like 2 pieces of Lettuce. And a tablespoon of meat.
