We went here tonight and ordered a sweet pork quesadilla and burrito at the drive in. When I went to eat the quesadilla I noticed it was covered in little hairs. Not just a little either, it was on the top and bottom of it all over. I’m glad I noticed it before taking a bite. They also messed up other aspects of the order as well. I would give zero stars if I could. Never eating here again.

I love love love Cafe Rio food. However, don’t get your yummy food at this location. First off, the food prep areas were disgusting and haven’t been cleaned all day. The guy taking orders was trying to be cool and flipping food in the metal tins, however he was getting food everywhere it shouldn’t be. It doesn’t look like they cleaned the grill all day either. To make things even worse, I was waiting to use the single bathroom they have. I watched a worker come out, so I promptly got up and walked in. Ugh… there was NO SOAP!!!!

I haven’t ever been in a restaurant this dirty. Disgusting behind the counter and worse in the dining area. Out of napkins! Out of guacamole! I only came here tonight because I had a gift card and I still feel like I over paid. There’s a Costa Vida down the road. Better in EVERY way.

Wow! I am amazed at how new this building is and how dirty this place was. The bathrooms were gross and sticky, toilet paper just placed not on roller, looked broken, and sink was dirty. Dining area was not swept, table areas not wiped down or cleaned up. I chose not to eat here because of the cleanliness of the restaurant. This was right as they opened the store.

Arrived a little after 9:00 to order dinner for myself and my two little boys. Posted hours and employees confirmed they were open until 10:00. The entire meat counter had been cleared with no options to choose from. I was told by a less than pleasant and annoyed young man they might be able to make my order depending on what I wanted. Shredded chicken, steak, or pork wasn’t an option because they were out and they weren’t making anymore for the night. Needless to say this is why I fed my family elsewhere and is why we don’t come to Cafe Rio anymore. It’s been bad for a while but damn, tonight was the last straw.

i came in to get a salad, and there was hardly anything they on my salad. it didn’t even look like a typical cafe rio salad, the girl that served it was just quickly throwing on whatever they had left on the salad. there was hardly any lettuce and they gave me a small tortilla. it should’ve been a small salad but i still paid full price for a regular size. my food was cold! the tortilla. Like they wanted to hurry and close the store. when i was walking out I could see so many prints on the door and glass like it hasn’t been cleaned in a while. it was gross. i didn’t want to touch the door at all. the drink station had spilled drink all over, the lids were everywhere and the floor was so sticky. it was gross. i couldn’t eat half my salad because i started getting a stomach ache.

I never take time to leave reviews, but after trying to give the benefit of the doubt, and reading other similar reviews, I realized that something needs to be done in order to get the attention of owners and managers. Our last visit to this location, we went inside to dine. It was both me and my husbands first time and I was immediately put off with how dirty the dining area was, but especially the kitchen area. My husband, who would never notice such a thing, even commented about how disgusting it looked before I even did. Today, my daughter wanted Cafe Rio for lunch – I decided to give in and sent her to the drive through. She was ordering 3 meals and a kids meal. Apparently there is a rule that you can’t order more than three things at the drive through ‍♀️ so after ordering 3 meals, she was unable to get the kids meal for my 6 year old. She came home and unpackaged it all – and half of it was wrong. The salad had almost no chicken on it, we were missing dressing and a side of salsa, and my daughters pork burrito, was a chicken burrito. Looks like we will continue to support Costa Vida as they are fast, accurate, clean, and I can order for my whole family in the drive through.

Pulled up to the drive-thru and was told the drive-thru was closed but that the lobby was open. So, I attempted to go inside and both entrances were locked. There were over half a dozen employees behind the counter, several of whom saw me trying to get in- both entrances (entrances are a good dozen feet apart from one another). A couple made eye contact. I stood there for a minute, hoping they’d realize they locked their doors…. Nope. I wouldn’t care so much but I just worked a 14 hour shift, drove a good 20+ minutes out of my way and I have to be back at work very early in the morning. I could have planned to eat elsewhere if I knew this was going to happen. We don’t get to just lock the doors at my job 40 minutes before we actually close and watch people try to get in! (I thought it was a weird thing that their drive-thru was closed, but they say the lobby is open!) I know they weren’t closed yet, too. While, occasionally hours are changed and not updated online, that was not the case! I made it a point to make it clear that I was looking at the hours posted on the building when I stood outside the locked doors. They were, indeed, still open. I am so incredibly frustrated right now. Not only is this more than 20 minutes out of my way, I could have used the time to drive elsewhere.
