Delicious. It’s BYOB, which was surprising, but there is a great wine selection at the store next door. The ambience was great, old school Italian, open kitchen, big espresso machine, all black attire on wait staff. Warm bread and garlic olive oil to start. We both had seafood dishes, this is the Gamberoni Miguellino. Huge portions, all delicious. Took a cannoli home for dessert, freshly filled, and nicely presented, even in the to go box. We will definitely go back when we are back in town next month.

After seeing good reviews in Google reviews, I went to Cafe Picasso with my family for a special occasion and enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service. Quantity was good too.

Had so much fun when we ate dinner here back in July! First of all we tried the fried zucchini flowers and they were AMAZING! Since it was towards the end of the night, the chefs and other cooks were having fun and singing along to Volare. Such a fun atmosphere. Our dinner was delicious, they have such an extensive menu. Can’t wait to go back.

So many great options in Somerville. But talk about a place that makes you feel at home. The food is outstanding and most importantly consistently outstanding. We all know those places that are great one time and terrible the next or tend to forget about the regulars, well this is not that place…Its simply always great. Have been there too many times to count and consistently made to feel like we are the only ones there. Family owned and operated and by that I do not just mean Michael and Lorenzo and Michael Jr. but all the other chefs and staff that clearly are great at what they do and seem to really take joy as part of an important team. I have been to Italy many times and this place does not disappoint ever.

One of our favorite hangouts. Love the food, the ambiance and the service! The gnocchi was very liquidy and kids didn’t like it that way (just a diff style). But all other dish were delish!

We’d heard lots of good reviews of this restaurant, but were disappointed. We started with the chef’s special burata. It was big enough to share and the Burata was fresh, but mixing fresh burata with a warm sauce was a surprise. The sauce had sausage and three types of beans. Unusual, but still delicious. We then decided to go with the veal. After all, this looks like a fine restaurant, so let’s live a little. I chose the breaded veal with arugula and fresh tomatoes. I wanted to try something new. The breading had little or no flavor and the veal was over cooked and tough. My husband had the veal in a special sauce. The sauce was good and included zucchini, but again, the veal was over cooked.

We went for a family outing. I ordered the chicken Parm and my girlfriend ordered the Ravioli Aragosta. The service was subpar since we waited over 50 minutes between salads and entrees and the food was mixed. My chicken parm ended up being very salty and I wasn’t able to finish it let alone even eat half of it. I believe it could of been due to that one night they just made it too salty because other times my family visit they love the chicken parm and it isn’t too salty.

Food and atmosphere was amazing. Flavors were beyond this world. All dietary and allergy limitations were met. Service, however, was really poor. The server was unenthusiastic, barely made eye contact, was dismissive, inattentive, and only smiled at us when we were walking out of the restaurant. There were no mistakes to the food. But I had to ask for coke 3x and I didn’t even get a refill. If I didn’t have water, I probably would’ve been thirsty all night. My friends asked for a glass of ice for their wine twice and he didn’t bring it. We had to ask one of the bussers and they brought it the second time we asked. The menu also said every entree was served with mixed veggies and potatoes, which we didn’t receive. For the price point and atmosphere, we were very disappointed with the service. Sadly, I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant. The food was spectacular, but it’s not worth the visit because of the service.

Horrible place for service. I booked a 7pm reservation for the middle room. Unfortunately the only opening they had was for 8:30pm. I wasnt thrilled about the the time but I took what was available. I arrived in advance of 8:30pm and immediately the hostess took me to the front room next to the cooking area. I told her this is NOT what I reserved. I was informed the middle room was booked for 2 hours and if I wanted the table I would have to wait at least another 30 – 40 mins. They told me to walk around and will call you when they leave. Well we walked around to 9pm and never got a call. We returned to the restaurant to find out what’s going on. Well the people were still there. They offered another room in the the back that was practically wide open, quieter and cooler. Well when we all went to the back room we decided to take it. While this was happening the manager said our middle room table opened up and said the table is ours now. Well we said now want the back room and we were all standing in it. He said NO, the table you reserved is now open. I said Are you Kidding Me??? We’re now at least 45 mins late for a table and this is what you do??? Well after a few colorful words we walked out. He tried to stop us and offer some free appetizers but colorfully declined the offer which I was certain there would be some of his dna in. We went to the Bridgewater diner instead where the service was fast, excellent food and priced right. Will NEVER go back to cafe Picasso again.
