I came to Cafe Patachou expecting a regular breakfast, but left spiritually renewed and slightly stickier than when I arrived (thank you, cinnamon toast). The service? Impeccable. I’ve been less warmly welcomed at family reunions. Our server smiled like she knew the secrets of the universe—and I believe one of those secrets is definitely how they make that cinnamon toast so heavenly.
It wasn’t just toast—it was an experience. Buttery, crispy, with just the right amount of cinnamon to make you question every bland piece of bread you’ve ever accepted in the past. I considered proposing to it, but decided instead to order a second plate.
Bottom line: 10/10, would eat breakfast here every day until I turn into a cinnamon stick myself.
And the Cinnamon Toast lived up to its hype.
Ordered a croissant French toast which is one croissant sliced it seems and pressed. Was conquered in 2 bites, overrated for the price.
The fruit still had some stem and debris on it. Pineapple was very yummy that’s for sure.
Eggs were good, nothing great.
The mocha was sour
Orange juice was superb
Overall not worth the $50 I spent but if someone invited me here I would come back and wouldn’t cause a fit.
The toast they give with the cinnamon spread is unbelievably good but I think that’s just free side that comes w your order.
Chairs also hurt but that’s just me.
Very nice pleasant place, self serve coffee (loved the place at that moment itself), helpful pleasant staff and delicious food makes anytime of day great!
We tried the newly added spicy scrambled eggs, Cuban bowl, California omelette, the phat rabbit which is the vegan sandwich and hot chocolate.
Everything was delicious.
I used to love getting an omelet and toast as a teen but I can’t eat like that anymore so I tried the quinoa bowl and matcha latte.
The latte was on the sweeter side. I like less sweet, more matcha flavor. The quinoa bowl tastes good but was such a small portion I ended up adding a poached egg. It could use some more veggies, nuts, seeds and lentils to make it more nutritious and filling.
All in all Cafe Patachou has a lot to offer and it is a main staple in Indy. Hope they can continue to evolve to add more nutritious and healthy food options.
