Away for a weekend in Vermont and we came across this Cafe Oma in a bike shop. Unique, cozy, and relaxing atmosphere. We placed our order with the friendly staff and enjoyed our coffee while our sandwiches were carefully crafted. I didn’t know that a breakfast sandwich could taste sooo good. Real food cooked to order. The eggs, Vermont cheese and locally baked bread, it just tasted outstanding! We didn’t want to leave. Definitely will be back and tell our friends about this place if they are going to Vermont.

We waited about 45 minutes for below-average coffee. The place is run by two teenagers who seem very disorganized, with no real operational system in place. While waiting, we noticed them hand-washing used dishes instead of using a commercial dishwasher, which raises hygiene concerns. The older woman preparing food wasn’t wearing gloves and was touching everything directly. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness and service were disappointing, and we won’t be returning.

Vibrant and cozy cafe. The food is so delicious and always has such fresh ingredients. This is truly a hub of the community and I’m glad I’ve build into my workweek a time to stop in for lunch and coffee.

Excellent place!! The Chambooka sandwich was delicious, also the cortado coffee. The barista/chef/bartender was great. She was doing everything and taking orders at the same time.

Highly recommended!

Worst coffee I’ve ever had. After waiting nearly an hour in line, the coffee was terrible. They don’t seem equipped to run a coffee shop—food took over 20 minutes just for a sandwich, and it wasn’t good either. The girl working today (Sunday) was rude. I don’t understand how this place has high ratings. Avoid this place, unless you want to spend 45 min in a line. Very disappointed!

Love this place! The atmosphere, the people, and the food were all shown with love and care. Unfortunately we live in Nashville TN, but if this was near us it would be my go-to place!!

We went into the Cafe today and it was slammin’ busy! Lots of “leaf peepers” and tourists coming to visit the small town charm. The line was almost out the door, but the three working the (very small) behind the counter space had so much composure during the crazy rush. We saw people being so demanding and rude to the workers because their food was taking too long, but with such a small kitchen space, it only made sense. Our food was delicious, and you could tell it was made with top-quality ingredients. We will absolutely be back.

We had breakfast sandwiches here and thoroughly enjoyed them. I liked the can of cold brew they had in the fridge. Cool historical building.

Sweet little coffee shop/cafe located in a charming and atmospheric old building (and co-located with a bike store). Great menu of drinks, food and treats. Definitely check out the lovely creek side seating outside!

My wife and I recently stopped by Cafe Oma for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised to find such a warm and inviting local café in Montgomery. One of the main things that drew us here is their commitment to using local produce and local eggs, a detail that makes the food feel extra fresh and connected to the community.

The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with a unique charm since it shares the space with a bike shop, which adds a fun, unexpected twist to the experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

We ordered from the breakfast menu and tried The Veganator ($11) – a plant-based sausage with onion, roasted red pepper, spinach, and avocado. It was flavorful, hearty, and well-balanced, a great option for a plant-based start to the day. To go with it, we had hot chai lattes with almond milk, which were perfectly spiced and comforting.

Overall, this is a gem of a spot – delicious food, thoughtful sourcing, and a relaxed atmosphere. We’re glad we stumbled upon it and will definitely be back.
