We had the both the crab stuffed poblano and red fish, along with the fried shrimp as our main meals. While there, we decided to order two strawberry salads with grill shrimp, as well as the berry bread pudding. Unfortunately, we did not get pictures of the main meals, but a picture of the to-go items. This was our second visit, atmosphere is relaxed, the views are picturesque and service above par. Chef Lilly prepared the meals and this time around, Kendric was our server. This was worth the 30 mile drive from our home.

Breakfast was good! Server was attentive. Had the loaded huevos rancheros hash, it had decent flavor. The 3 egg omelette was also tasty and the potatoes they came with were cooked so much better then the ones on the hash… The bacon was ok, a little more chewy and less crispy then desired. It was expensive, I coulda gotten the same at the buffet for half the price but over all a pleasant experience!

My wife and I stayed just for one night at Moody Gardens Hotel before sailing on a Caribbean cruise. We had lunch at the Cafe – and it was fabulous! The lobster bisque soup is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The gumbo soup is a close second – I personally love okra and there was a lot of it in the soup. Our server, Tommie, treated us like royalties with utmost attention and care. We really felt pampered. All around – five stars!

I had such an enjoyable lunch at Cafe in the Park. I got the buffet between sessions at the conference I was attending and had a relaxing lunch with a friend. The food was warm, crisp, and perfectly filling. The barbecue chicken was very flavorful, the shrimp was the perfect texture, the pizza was delicious, and the desserts were scrumptious. Nikki was a fantastic waitress and anticipated our every need while allowing us to engage in deep conversation. She was very kind and attendant, and made me feel so comfortable in this space. Thank you!

Daniel and Kendrick were absolutely wonderful servers. From the moment we sat down, they were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They worked seamlessly together and made the experience relaxed and enjoyable. You can tell they care about their guests, and that kind of service makes a huge difference. Daniel is the literal best server I have ever encountered. He’s funny and picked up on my vibe immediately, excellent people person who made my day. Genuinely can’t think of enough great things to say about him!
Food was great, bigger portions than I expected. I got the strawberry bibb salad which was bright and balanced.
The atmosphere was honestly a miss for me and the one thing I didn’t love. There was a lack of cohesion in the decor, kind of like the restaurant doesn’t know what it wants to be. It was very clean though.

We had lunch, our waitress was Ariel she was friendly and respectful, and attentive. I had the Texas burger, it came with fries. The burger had ham bacon cheese sauce and pickled jalapenos, the burger was cooked as order and had good flavor. The fries where steak, they were crispy on the outside with a soft center

We stopped at the café for an early dinner and received excellent service from Vera, who greeted us with a smile. She was very knowledgeable in describing the various menu choices, and helped us choose a dish. She was also very attentive to needs including ensuring that our drinks were refilled before even asking. Our food was delicious, and we highly recommend this place.
