This is a fabulous place. I have been doing a coffee tour around the Twin Cities and this is so far my favorite stop. The staff are unbelievably kind, the roast of their coffee is light and smooth and the vibe in here is spectacular. If you are looking for your next study spot, somewhere to catch up with an old friend or to take a break alone, I would highly recommend Cafe Astoria!

Cute, cozy neighborhood staple in a trendy, busy part of Saint Paul. They have an expansive breakfast menu with lots of sweet and savory options, and their drink menu is impressive as well! I tried the ube matcha iced latte, which was delicious, sweet, and smooth. Additionally (not pictured) I got their seasonal pumpkin smoothie which was sweet, nourishing, and had interesting fresh ingredients (sweetened with fresh dates!) Their lemon ricotta pancakes are huge, served with a generous amount of lemon curd and impeccably fresh blueberries. The texture is great: soft but not underdone, fluffy without being too heavy. We came at a busy time, so while drinks came out quickly, the food was a tad slow. All in all, though, I’d love to come back and try more menu options!

Came here to grab a coffee and brunch Tuesday morning – the staff were super friendly, and the coffee order I got (dirty matcha) was wonderful, but theres few to little options for those who are vegetarian. I ordered the Veggie Wraps, and they came with a lot of rice stuffed in it, which was not mentioned in the menu description. I was quite dissatisfied with the food. If you’re a vegetarian and you do go here, go for the coffee and pastries/sweeter items on the menu, not for the food.

If you love chocolate like I do , get a CAMPFIRE LATTE
(espresso, chocolate, caramel, milk, graham crumbs, marshmallow). It was heavenly. One of the best lattes I have had.
I didn’t like the sandwich, the bread was hard and it didn’t have good seasoning. That’s the reason for the 4 star rating.
Service was very friendly and fast. And I liked the atmosphere and design of the cafe. Great Coffee spot in St Paul.

We stopped in while we were exploring Minneapolis on our trip from Kansas City. The food was delicious, the staff was super nice, and the cafe was cute and cozy. Definitely recommend stopping in and getting the Crème Brûlée latte and Belle Breakfast.

During our quick trip to Minneapolis we paid visit to Cafe Astoria.
It was highly recommend for the selection of coffee, food and pastries.
I got the campfire latte and matcha with strawberry cold foam.
We also got some pastries
The black sesame croissant and a pistachio lavender pastries.
For going on a Saturday morning and it being busy we had fast and friendly service.

I met with a friend here this afternoon and it’s definitely top 3 best cafés I’ve been to. From the atmosphere to the coffee and food everything was truly top notch! The baristas were very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be back.

Great place, beautiful plants. I like that you come in, sit, and order from the QR code on the table. The coffee was great and pretty designs for the ladies. The croissant was cold but it tasted great, fresh. We also ordered a crepe with Nutella and strawberries. It was delicious! Definitely coming back!

Cafe Astoria is a great little place for a nice brunch on a weekend. The food here is excellent, and the quality is off the charts. They don’t do reservations, and you have to seat yourself. Every table has a QR code, and they will bring it straight to the table. You can also order over the counter. Coming to food, the savory crepes are delicious, and the lemon ricotta pancakes are a must order. All their beverage options are delicious as well and perfect for a cold winter morning.
Parking is limited to free street parking and can be tough to find.
