Carne adovada was super tender, chicken fried steak and eggs delicious! Didn’t even know about this place; found it while hungry and driving down the road. Highly recommend. It’s old and has seen better days, but well worth the stop. Great breakfast, thank you!! Some of the best places are the dives, so dive right in!!!

Really horrible restaurant. Seats look like they seen better days and service is terrible. Got my bowl of starched red chili which was more like jello and ground beef. Never got my sopapillas that came with the chili and my husbands plate came out more that 30 minutes after ordering and the waitress made it look like it was the cooks fault we didn’t get our food.. she asked you didn’t get your plate? Hardly any customers are in here and she’s been back and forth the whole time. You didn’t know we didn’t get our food? If they work like this with 5 customers I hate to see a rush.

Amazing hole-in-the-wall kind of place! Old-school diner vibe, homely feel and friendly staff, generous portions of finger-licking good food, and the prices are actually low. We had breakfast eggs and hashbrowns with the recommended sopapillas – delicious and also fish and chips – also great. Highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful stop for breakfast!
Everything we ate here was terrific!
The chicken fried steak with red chili sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had. Their pancakes are so thick, fluffy and fabulously delicious. The bacon fresh, the Sopaipillas are divine by themselves or with honey.
Cafe 66 also serves real butter, which I find is tragically disappearing from the diner scene. The servers were very sweet, and our food came out fast. This place is a must stop for all you road weary travelers seeking delicious food and wanting to support a local restaurant.

Too bad it was closed and Google Maps was not informed about it… Wanted to see a Stranger Things location and Albuquerque classic.
They’ll reopen Jan 16, 2026

Not bad but I should have read the menu more carefully. I ordered biscuits and gravy, and I’m glad I asked for sausage with it because it really was just 2 biscuits and a big ol cup of gravy.

The food is excellent, fast and friendly service. They’ll be closed Monday November the 7th 2022 for the series Blue Sky to air on site. It’s an old place in need of some repairs. Easy access and parking around back.

Don’t know about stranger things, but yes Breaking Bad got me here. That said, this is my kinda place.

A little dinner that has survived the interstate taking out Route 66. The reason it is still going is because the service is phenomenal, the food is excellent, and the place is inviting.

If you don’t like diners, probably best to head on down the road, but for my money this place is excellent.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This place may have wood paneling and decor straight out of Grandma’s house, but dang this place is good!
This was my first visit and decided to get the cheese enchiladas with red and green (Christmas). I added a few fried eggs on top and holy smokes were they good (and cooked perfectly)! I used my sopapillas to scoop up my food and I was in heaven.
The staff is straight up amazing. Great customer service. I never even saw the bottom of my coffee mug because they were so quick to fill it. Everyone was friendly.
I give this place 4.75 stars because the booth I was in was pretty destroyed. It does add to the ambiance, if you will, but it was also a tad uncomfortable. Will definitely be back.
