Although this establishment is under new ownership, the level of service, food quality, & ambiance is still top notch. The staff is friendly, courteous, attentive, and willingly offers suggestions. The food is not expensive & served in ample portions. I used to frequent the Cadet on occasions as I was passing through the area but will be stopping by more frequent. I highly recommend this great restaurant.

I got the shrimp basket, and it was three short of the amount the menu said was in it. The grease should have been drained a little more. But the fries were delicious. The service was ok, and the atmosphere was a 50’s setting. It’s a good place to get a bite to eat.

The first two times I had to walk away , They were not open or I didn’t have cash. I dont regret the third try. Wish I had a picture of that burger. It’s impossible to enjoy Wendy’s or McDonald’s after one of those im cursed for life with this place and Heros. The make burgers the way they are meant to be.

Love to have found The Cadet. Their food is great, tastes homemade and the prices are very fair. Really enjoying the pancakes and sausage patties lately. Be sure to try the pies! They never disappoint.

When I read “they have the best French fries I’ve ever had” my reaction was “French fries are French fries” (and I’m a wana be chef). They are amazing! The Poor Boy was fresh, hot and tasty! Kayleigh is a great waitress. She is very friendly and attentive. The food came fast and hot. I’m sorry I waited 60 years to eat here! I’ll be back. Many times!

The crispiest tastiest fries I ever had in a restaurant. Their double decker poor boy burger was excellent. Service was a tad slow at first but she was great.

History of the place is a must stop for nostalgia enthusiast Food was good not a huge menu but really kept true to the old road stop eatery. Staff friendly, service prompt and atmosphere cozy.

Cash only. Food had relatively small portions Experience was ok, small food portions. Burger buns dont even fit the sandwiches. Inside they have a small yard sale going on. Building looks neat. Its cool to imagine what the place was. It could be so much more.
