Ordered prime rib for lunch and it was okay. I am a prime rib lover and have had better. It was quite thin for the price. Would not order again for lunch. Maybe dinner is better????

We’ve visited here a couple of times to see if it is as good as some say. We always give a restaurant a few tries, just incase there is an off service. First time: We ordered a couple of vodka w/ soda drinks, well balanced but the club soda was flat. We left after one drink. Second time: patio was crowded,loud and smoke filled. We ordered nachos….so gross! And soggy. We were constantly asked to move so staff could move stuff. We paid then left without finishing food.
I called to ask what the happy times are. The lady who answered was rude and condescending saying “we dont need any happy hour, we have all the customers we want”. It seems they only like their regulars and snowbirds.
We will not be going back to say the least.

Best prime rib ever. A very generous juicy cut. The server was terrible and the atmosphere was good. The hostess ladies were a little rude. We had to sit in the small table even with lager tables open.

This placed accommodated our party of 7 last minute and it was an absolutely lovely experiment. They gave us a perfect round table in the corner. We had two very loud toddlers so this was very helpful. Food was great. Waitress was friendly. Very cool ambiance.

A Palm Desert Classic! A great bar and grill with high quality food and lively atmosphere. I had the most expensive Lamb Chops ever at $75! But they were magnificent! The prime rib is very tender and melts in your mouth. Expect to spend a couple of hundred bucks on a lovely meal. Next time I think I’ll try the ribs. I know those are only $44. Great place for special occasions and the bar is a great place for older seniors to pick up a date.

I’m from NC, visiting friends here in Palm Desert. Cactus Jack was my favorite meal! They had a filet and shrimp special with Bearnaise sauce. The sauce was rich and creamy and the filet was melt-in-your-mouth amazing! Every meal in our party was fantastic! Highly recommend.

We came to Cactus Jacks on a whim. In town for a conference. I had the mahi tacos and my sister had the Ruben. Mahi tacos could have had more flavor but the texture was perfect. My sister devoured her sandwich. We shared a delicious chocolate cake a la mode. We ate so fast we forgot to take pics. Flora was a great attentive server. Will come back again when in town.

The steak tacos were delicious!! The oysters were fantastic!!! The nachos were very disappointing, the chips were soggy and it didn’t taste very good. We asked the bar tender about the size of the wings, and he said they were meaty, but that was a huge lie. The only good things about those wings were the texture and taste. The size of the wings were super small and hardly any meat on them. The service was fast and the atmosphere was a big surprise. From the outside, it looks like a dive bar, but once you walk in, we were like, “Wow, very nice.” For everything we paid with 2 beers was $73 & that was with the nasty nachos getting taken off. It’s a bit pricey, but I would go here again just for the oysters.

We have three different meals for supper and they were all fantastic. Very delicious and well prepared. The place was very noisy and 2 of us had hearing AIDS.And we still had trouble hearing the person beside us. Please install some kind of baffling on your walls to absorb the sound.
