The food tasted better than it looked. It’s the reason I gave the food 5 stars because it defied my expectations. My belly was happy after eating the delicious ground beef Enchilada lunch special with refried beans, nacho chips, rice, and salsa( needs more spice) for$10 and cents. The cashier was quick and made good food recommendations. Only suggestion is the cashier after payment received should have placed the credit card in my hand instead of on the counter. I took that as a sign of disrespect. Restaurant decor is outdated. Anyway the food was good.

Cactus grill is upscale Mexican food and it’s worth a little bit extra. The margaritas are top shelf and creative. I had the shrimp and crab enchiladas and they were creamy and cheesy and full of seafood. My wife had fajitas and they were fresh and sizzling when they came to the table. We had the ceviche appetizer and it was good not great, but still nicely done and presented.

First time visiting Cactus Grill and had a mixed experience. The chips and salsa were sublime. Ordered the Monterrey Chicken Burrito per the servers recommendation and everything about it was fantastic… besides the chicken. I don’t think I’ve ever been served obviously burnt chicken until today but it took away from the whole meal. I expect this is not the norm since this location and it’s sibling company Jose Peppers have been around for a long time, but it sure did ruin the meal.

Very impressed with this restaurant. I go to Jose Peppers and like it okay but this place has a much greater variety. Like the atmosphere much better as well. They have pretzel bites which I love.

Great atmosphere! The chips and queso were delicious! I ordered the mahi fish tacos with Mexican street corn and desert rice. The fish tacos were *chefs kiss*! So good! The Mexican street corn weren’t what I was expecting. Not as good as I was hoping it would be. Service was wonderful!

Got the steak nachos, Taco bowl and short rib enchilada. The veggies in the taco bowl are disgusting. They are old, they’re browned on the edges, wrinkled and soft. The taco shell bowl is cold and stale. Feels like I was given someone’s left over order. Just like the veggies, the guacamole on top came browned as well. I ordered this when they first opened, so it’s confusing how is like this. These are grocery store bought vegetables that are on the brink of going bad.

The only reason we stopped here was because it was the e only Mexican place close to us, it honestly seemed pretty pretentious when we walked in and we thought we made a huge mistake. Well, our server (a sweet red head Alicia?) was super nice and a gave us a great experience. The food was super fresh and delicious, we will definitely be back again !

Food was great!! Chips were thin and warm, salsa was tasty!! Only downfall was the waiter. He was not very personable, talked very quickly and abrupt, hard to understand and acted like it was just a job that he did not want to do. Not sure if he was having an off day? We will go back as we enjoyed everything else!!

Great food, atmosphere and service. Waiter was amazing, great recommendations – there when we needed him but never intrusive. Incredibly helpful and patient when we overstayed while catching up. Definitely will visit again.
