Stumbled on this place accidentally after a wedding up the road. Being Mexican food lovers and especially the cuisine of Oaxaca, we did a u-turn to try this place out. Wow. Such a pleasant surprise. Everything from the sweet service to the excellent Mezcal cocktails, the mole (just order it as a side along with chips) and salsas. We had both the fish and shrimp taco plates – delicious! Highly recommend.

The food at this Mexican restaurant is fantastic! One of the highlights is their homemade salsa and chili sauce—both are full of flavor and really elevate the meal. You can tell everything is made with care and authentic ingredients. It’s a great spot for a satisfying and flavorful meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Our first experience with Mexican food from Oaxaca- it was really unique! We got this huge flatbread. It fed two people but was surprisingly light, with all the cabbage.

As for food, it was middle of the road. I just looked at the menu again (8 hours later). Looking back at the picture of my enchilada, I realized that they only gave me ONE enchilada. The menu says TWO (see the pic).

Overall, it looked like Mexican food, but I don’t think there was anything special about the flavoring itself. The taco fritos (taquitos) weren’t flavorful, I found myself adding LOTS of salsa to give it some flavor. Also, we ordered it as an appetizer and it came with the meal.

Not sure how to explain the place. Everything was mediocre. It really wasn’t THAT busy in town. There wasn’t a wait for seating. The staff seemed bothered and uninterested (or unengaged). We had to ask after our meals were delivered to get napkins and silverware. They were attentive at our water levels, but that’s it. There’s gotta be better in town. I don’t see how it gets high ratings.

“Today I had a very nice experience at Caadxi Oaxaca. Jasmine restaurant served me with a smile and a lot of kindness, the pot coffee was delicious and the three milk cake was spectacular. I called about an hour ahead for a party of 8 on a Saturday night. Thankfully they made it work for us despite the restaurant being packed. Everyone was very happy with their food and drinks. The team made it a fun, lively, and it a special evening for the birthday boy. Honorable mentions were the chapulines (with the lime squeezed over – yum!), red pazole, and the barabacoa. We will be coming back again for sure!

UPDATE: We have been back several times in the last few months and it continues to be great food! HIGHLY recommend the ceviche, I have ordered it 3x as my entree because it is a good portion and delicious. Perfect for a hot afternoon with a drink. The only thing that I feel has lacked since our first visit is the service – specifically when sitting outside in their patio section. Sometimes I find myself wondering if I have been forgotten about a little bit. I will still come back but maybe just sit inside.

My sister and I shared guacamole, chips, and the restaurant’s signature appetizer: sopitos oaxaquenos. That was plenty to fill us up, and it was delicious! Neither of us had ever tried anything like the sopitos before, and we both loved them.

The service was great, and there was dining available inside and out.

Fantastic and wonderfully prepared food. This was our second time here, but the last time was more than 5 years ago, located in old Snoqualmie, right across from the train station. We started with chips and guacamole, salsa was not provided, until we learned they have a salsa station where you can serve yourself, the green is hot, red mild, and there is pico de Gallo. We ordered an appetizer, the Enmoladas which were flavorful and delightful. I had the carne a la Mexicana, which is sauteed flank steak which had a wonderful flavor, highly recommend this dish. My wife had Molotes which is potatoes and chorizo wrapped in a crispy tortilla. My friend had Tamale de Mole which is a chicken tamale wrapped in a banana leaf. All the food was fantastic, I felt the prices were higher than other Mexican restaurants, but the authenticity and flavor profiles certainly sets this place apart.

I’ve been living in Seattle for three years, and with all due respect to the many Mexican food spots around, I had never tasted anything as authentic and true to the flavors of Mexico as this small, cozy place I found in Snoqualmie, Washington.

I had the pleasure of trying enfrijoladas with a fried egg, tamales wrapped in banana leaves, red mole, black mole, plantain sopes with homemade red mole, pozole, café de olla, and a tres leches cake that perfectly rounded out an unforgettable culinary experience.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this place is a little piece of Mexico brought all the way up here. From the very first bite, the flavors transport you to a roadside eatery in southern Mexico—the kind where truck drivers stop for a comforting home-style meal. SOUTHERN MEXICANS WILL KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN.

The atmosphere is warm and familiar, and the service makes you feel right at home. The owners are proudly Oaxacan, and you can taste it in every detail: the seasoning, the ingredients, and the unwavering respect for their culinary heritage.

I’ll never forget what the kind waitress told me when I asked her what the secret was behind such authentic flavor:
“We’ve been doing this for 20 years, and I think the secret is that we don’t change our sauces to please tastes. The idea is for people to get to know the true flavors of Oaxaca.”

And that’s exactly how it should be.
Mexicans preserving their culture, even far from home.
That, without a doubt, is the key to success.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place. If you want to experience the true taste of Oaxaca without leaving Washington, this is where you need to go.
