FOOD FOR THE SOUL… I am so glad that my husband was hungry (he looks starved, he’s a “twiggy”)…he wanted a home cooked meal instead of McD’s…I thank the good Lord for the paths he puts us on and it led us to C & E’s Restaurant… these Ladies are Beautiful people (even Lil’ Miss Smiles)…Inside and Out.
I so enjoyed the wonderful food, the comforting atmosphere and conversation with you Ladies!!! My favorite…the beets. My husband’s was the squash medley. We both enjoyed everything from your “Main Buffet”…fried chicken, baked chicken, spaghetti, chicken livers, cooked cabbage, green beans, mashed potatoes, squash medley, pinto beans and cornbread…I can’t even remember everything you had… your “Salad Buffet” was very good and I even tried something I hadn’t had since I was a kid…”Souse” very good. Thank You Mrs. C & Mr. E for sharing something wonderful from your heart with the rest of us… Blessings to you and your family… we shall return…

Everyone there was so welcoming and friendly.We went several times while we were visiting from out of state. We always took 2 to 3 boxes of food out we just love this place! I would highly recommend this place! Can’t wait to get back there! You will love this place for sure! Good southern food.

A true blue diamond in the rough. C&E has some of the best food we’ve had since we moved to the area. Fish and pork chops fried to order, real mashed potatoes and fried okra. Wonderfully, friendly staff. We’ll be back again and again and again.

It’s been a little bit now since I stopped in. I should have wrote this a while back, but didn’t get around to it. So I just was scanning the map and it reminded me that I had stopped in for dinner. I was passing through on a motorcycle trip with a friend. We spent the night just up the road. We came across this little gem of a restaurant.
I tend to prefer non chain restaurants when possible. And C & E’s did not disappoint. We wound up having a great dinner. The folks who we met that night were warm and welcoming. And I will say without a doubt. I had the best fried chicken, I ever had in my life that night. It’s been a while and I hope they still have it on the menu. I would like to stop in again soon. And maybe sooner than you think. So if the fried chicken is still on the menu, I know what I’ll be having. Thank you to these folks for a really nice dinner.

C & E catered an event for our family which everyone enjoyed. The food was hot and tasty, but I found some dishes a bit sweet. We had more than enough food to feed everyone as staff served and made us feel at home. Highlights for me were the fried chicken, baked chicken, fried shrimp, potato wedges and macaroni and cheese. Also enjoyed the sweet tea and brownies.

Traveled an hour to eat at this place yesterday and boy was it worth the travel. This is definitely a soul food place from beginning to end. First of all it’s a great price for what you get. The food stayed fresh and hot constantly. But there was no other choice because it went as fast as you noticed it. The staff was amazing the other customers were also extremely friendly. But when you have food that good…… You have no choice but to be friendly. Will definitely travel an hour again and so should you!

The food was really good. The restaurant was my cousin’s place l think you should go there for some good soul food. I loved the stewed tomatoes and the corn. The fried Apple’s was something l haven’t had in a long time. We had our reunion dinner there this pass weekend it was wonderful. Need l say any more.
