When we pulled up there was no one in the parking lot. After sifting through Google reviews we decided to give this place a shot. Glad we did. First off our server, Marty, aka possum Aloysius, is a TREASURE. I hope you’re paying him well. If the food sucked I legit would go back just to let that man talk me up.

We started with the burnt ends. I’m not going to lie, there were a few tough pieces, but as someone who smokes meat myself I tend to be a little more critical. 8/10

I ordered hard cider and was served a local brew with a frosted mug. It was delicious 10/10

I personally ordered the risotto with blackened chicken. The risotto flavor was spot on, albeit it could’ve cooked maybe 5 min longer. The chicken was cooked perfectly but was a tad salty. This dish normally comes with salmon and I should’ve let it because I think that would’ve been great 9/10

My bf ordered a platter with brisket, pulled pork, apple slaw, Mac and cheese and their cornbread fritter. That fritter is what you get if a red lobster biscuit had a baby with cornbread- so good. I’m not a slaw person, so no rating. The Mac was spot on. The pulled pork was great. The brisket was just a little dry, but again I’m judgey McJudgerstein. 9/10

I liked their horseradish sauce so much I bought two bottles.

I saw someone complaining about this place on Google within a week of our visit, and that guy was blowing smoke. This place is worth a visit, I wish it was closer to home. Check my reviews, I don’t mince words. My experience was good.

Tried this place for team dinner. Enjoyed their food and ambience. Lychee tini tasted too sweet for my liking. Their appetizers were so good. I ordered a Half smoked chicken dinner. it’s was too much for one meal but definitely yummy. Will be going again. They have Trivia nights on Thursday evenings. Cool place to hang.

*Sigh* I really wanted to like this place. Decor is nice. Good ambiance but the BBQ was just OK to be as expensive as it was. We started out with the butternut squash risoto and it was absolutely delicious! So we were excited to get the rest if our food. Well that excitement died as we received our food and starting eating. Everything was so bland. I got the brisket and chicken with some sweet potatoes and the wife got the spare ribs with Mac and cheese. The brisket was very dry and under seasoned and maybe under smoked. Chicken didn’t seem as if was smoked at all. Wife’s ribs were just ok as well. The 3 stars were for the risotto and the drinks. We both had a little buzz from both our drinks so I can’t give too bad of a rating. Going in it seemed really great but turned out to be an expensive bummer.

Went out for date night.
Waitress was great, she recommended a nice bottle of wine.
The menu definitely could have used a combo to accommodate for a date night, so we just got the brisket meal and added pulled pork, shrimp, and more sides. Our food came out and looked good. Unfortunately, the brisket and pulled pork were cold (not room temp). We told the waitress and she tool it back in the kitchen. It came back to us with flat top grill marks on the sides and still cold on the other slices. The shrimp was majorly overcooked at this point, so that was a loss.
The manager came and apologized, saying it’s smoked and the temps and such. Nice enough, but there is no way you can tell me that meat was from today, that was refrigerated cold.
I bet if it was fresh it would be great.

We ordered a carry out and was a little surprised they didn’t substitute sweet potato fries for regular fries. Not a big deal, ordered a side of regular fries. Pulled into the parking lot, smelled amazing with all the smokey-goodness. Came home to realize they forgot our side of regular fries and sweet potato fries… life happens we’re human. Called and they refunded $12. Started eating and we were extremely disappointed!!! We had such high hopes based on all the reviews!

We ordered the Texas charcuterie and the turkey and brisket were extremely dry especially since there was no sauce. (Our first time so not sure if we were supposed to ask for BBQ sauce.) Pulled pork and ribs had good flavor but also dry. The collard greens and beans were delicious but the cornbread… dry AF! Sucked all moisture out of my mouth.

Also ordered the risotto without protein which was a tad undercooked but still creamy and flavorful and delicious.

This place is under great management and there is so much to love here. The menu is creative. Try that smoked apple slaw. Wow. I loved it! The ribs were so tender and flavorful. The craft beer list also made this beer drinker happy. The background music was a purely delightful mix and at the right volume. Everything going on here has all the right ingredients to make locals want to keep coming back.

No one greeting or hosting. Server was pleasant enough, nothing noteworthy.
Food was a bit pricey but very good and worth the price. Nice varied menu with an abundance of entrees, sides, and desserts.
I would definitely go back – but a little more effort on service could make this place a 4* or maybe 5. Good scenery. Nice location.

Awesome options, family friendly. Good drink options and pool tables in the basement. We had sausage, Korean bbq ribs, chicken wings and Brussel sprouts. Also, great gluten free options (my daughter has Celiac and ate the ribs and sprouts with no issues). Shout out to our server, Marty, who my kids thought was hilarious.

Restaurant recently changed management and recipes- the owner was there and you can tell they are really engaged in ensuring you have a good experience.
The tomahawk as pictured was really good very tasty, as well as the Pork sandwich, the St. Louis style ribs were too dry for
My taste but their brussle sprouts were good too!
Our waitress was super nice and overall the place is clean and nice.
