Buttercooky Bakery opened its doors September 1962 in Floral Park, NY. We ordered my son’s birthday cake here, absolute disaster. The decorations fell off the cake by the time we got to our venue. Even after transporting with all the precautions. Cake was not secured to the board so kept sliding off not matter how careful we were during transport. Poor response to complaints,they simply said it’s not our responsibility. How can they not be responsible for things falling off.!!! Taste was mediocre, dry cake.

I had the worst experience here and its very sad because I have been coming here since they opened . I ordered a tres leche cake here and it was not done when I picked it up. I was told it could be done in 20 minutes 1 hr after waiting I finally got it. The cake was a disaster it fell apart as soon as I cut it. The next day I got the run around promised that the owner would call me never received a call back. I also got yelled at by someone and told no one is going to help you so bye.. Went in personally and no manager or owner came out to speak with me. They had an employee come speak to me and give me an email for a refund. It was so unprofessional of them.

I’ve only been there twice and I have not been disappointed at all. Their pastries and cheese cake are absolutely devine! They’re a bit pricey but it’s well worth it and I will definitely be going there again.

Always loved the butter cooky in floral park now they’ve opened one in Huntington… Lucky us. The desserts are fabulous… Especially love the miniture cakes which let you sample them bf ordering larger size… However I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. My personal favourite is the fruit filled cake. Moist white cake with layers of custard and filled with fresh fruit topped with fresh whipped cream icing. Now the bakery opened the cafe where you can order breakfast or lunch items. I’ve had both… The panini’s are awesome as well as the breakfast sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised with freshly made ingredients… Nothing frozen or microwaved. May have been the freshest ommelette I’ve ever had. Hesitated to write a review bc I don’t want to wait to get in if the word gets out.
