Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit and the food and service quality was still above par. Gabbi, A.C., and Kayden were all amazing and the reason we will continue to return. We visited on a Sunday and the place was packed and had a wait. We avoided the line and chose to eat at the bar. Still a great experience. Definitely try the catfish and breakfast platter.

If you’re in Waxahachie, this is a MUST. We stopped here on our way back home. We were searching for an option for lunch and weee amazed by just how many options the menu had. The staff were all super helpful and friendly and the food was simply incredible. We got several items knowing we could take stuff back and we didn’t regret it at all. Peach Cinnamon Roll? The cream cheese had just enough of the peach flavor in it. Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal – my wife loves oatmeal, I don’t mind it and my daughter usually won’t touch it. But we ALL loved it. They had a fall specialty item – S’mores Stuffed French Toast. Simply amazing. Creamy, dreamy chocolate spread between two pieces of French toast that’s topped with mini marshmallows and whip cream. Heaven. The bacon is crisped just right, and the flavor profile just keeps hitting even after that initial bite. I got the brisket cheddar biscuit… KILLER. Two soft biscuits topped with sliced brisket that’s packed with flavor. Then topped with cheddar cheese and an egg of your style and potatoes (I got the home fries). Hands down perfection. I think we just found a new annual stop!

I’ve visited 2x in as many weeks.
The food was really good the first time (first pic), but the service was sloooooowww. The server was good, and friendly. Nice and homey atmosphere. A good vibe overall.
The food was ok the 2nd time (pancakes instead of French toast), but it was served cold.
They were quick to correct this.
Super friendly place and a good, wholesome vibe.

We honestly didn’t know where to eat breakfast this morning as we are not from here. So we googled and loved the name Butter & Grave. We were very pleased with the food, atmosphere, and service. It’s a fresh, clean, beautifully decorated sit down restaurant. We ordered a traditional meal but the menu is very large and had modern food choices. We had a great experience here and will be back someday

Very good classic breakfast. Coffee hot from the pot. Eggs and waffle really good. Bacon a bit too crispy, but tasty. Only downside was the hash browns, I’ve had better when fried in a touch of butter. Service at the counter excellent. Crowded but the noise wasn’t too bad, the restaurant expanse probably helped.

20 Min wait time turned into over an hour wait. Hair was found in a pancake. Service felt rushed, asked for water since we just wanted to be in and out. My cup was half filled. Seemed like large parties overwhelm the employees.

I ate their stroganoff one day and meatloaf the next. It was great! I was stuffed! ( Served on certain days only) Can’t wait to try their breakfast menu, which by far is the best I’ve seen yet. Can’t believe they have been there this whole time & I never knew it. Waitress was soooo sweet. Only thing is during the week they close kinda early. So I’d have to say it’s my fav place, as of now! Second day I went my waiter was super nice (guy with the tattoos and deep voice) he was a great waiter.
