I should have read the reviews first. If they don’t want to buck tradition and change the recipe for their prison slop burgers, that’s cool. But based on the reviews, there have been far too many poor unsuspecting victims of that meatless monstrosity. I’m going to say what several others have already said here, PLEASE explain your recipe on the menu. When you order a burger off a diner menu, unless otherwise noted, this science experiment is unacceptable.

Fun busy throwback place with breakfast, lunch served all day, and dinner. I had a phenomenal southwest burger with o-rings and I will be stuffed until next week. Throwback prices too. The only negative was FoxNews on the TV – otherwise I would give 5 stars.

Prices were extremely affordable and staff was very friendly. Waitress said they were know for their burgers, but we ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese and a BBQ plate. Both were beyond excellent! Anyone visiting Cullman should check them out.

I went there specifically to have a diner-style burger. I was expecting a juicy/greasy patty of ground beef. Worst. Burger. Ever. It was a mixture of ground beef, bread, flour, and then fried (deep fried?) to the point of having a hard shell. It had NO flavor. I took several bites, hoping it would get better, but it didn’t, so I gave up. We were told that they sell “hundreds per day”, though. I guess the price is the appeal (for those who are on the verge of true starvation maybe!) — only $2.75 for a “cheeseburger”. You get what you pay for, so I should’ve known better.
