My absolute favorite food in Astoria! It’s unique, delicious, and the owner uses all kinds of local produce and goods. Highly recommend!

If your looking for fresh and local ingredients in your meal, this place is a must try. Hands down, one of the best ramen soups I’ve ever had, and the miso clams are so delicious.

Food smelt great, looked great, but was so salty that my brother could only eat two fork fulls of charred/burnt Yakisoba. Ended up having to throw it away and keep in mind both dishes were no cheaper than $17 forced myself to eat my bowl. Chef needs to taste what he cooks before serving it. This coming from someone who loves salty food. Besides the flavor you can tell the ingredients are of great quality, just poorly executed.

Best meal we had in Astoria by far. So fresh and delicious. The chef was friendly and interesting. He changes the menu frequently to use local and seasonal ingredients. We sat at the tiny counter and had a wonderful lunch even in some July rain. We will be back!

We were lucky when we walked up, we were the first ones there! We decided to split the Kim chi fried rice. It was more than enough for both of us. The smoked tofu was flavored throughout. There were three other people behind us when we left, and five in line when we walked by later!

Very good. This is the definition of a hole in the wall in the best way!! Highly recommend! Fresh ingredients, few item menu so everything has been perfected or at least pretty damn close to it. The owner is the only one that cooks so it’s the same every time! Absolutely amazing. If your in Astoria you need to try this place!

Very underwhelmed. Cannot understand the rave reviews. I agree the pancakes are waaaaay too salty, and aren’t worth $18 a piece plus tips. It’s mostly flour, cabbage, some onion, with a bit protein of your choice. Mine was even burned on one side. It was the most expensive pancake I had for more than $21. I could have got a far better meal at most other places in town for that price.

Amazing. If only all restaurants foraged and closed when they were out of fresh ingredients. But off my soap box, I got the miso soup and it was good not exceptional but quality and I got a rice bowl that was the best. Best I ever had. More mushrooms no problems!

I make a point to stop by every time I’m in town. Every dish I’ve ever had here has been exceptional. Always local, fresh and sometimes foraged ingredients. Sooo good!!!
