When we order, it’s for a family of 5, and 3 of them are teenagers who can pack it in. I understand that drive-throughs can get stuff wrong on occasion, but literally the last 3 times we’ve bought food from this restaurant, they get it wrong. They put sour cream on a burrito that we asked for NO sour cream, so of course my son wouldn’t eat it. They missed a couple of items that we ordered, etc. I get it. This happens. They are having to go so fast to get the orders out to the drivethrough that they miss stuff. The problem is that they take offense if you let them know they messed up, We just want to get the food they missed or messed up so that my kids can eat dinner.
I’m always kind if I ever make the effort to get the food that was messed up or missing. I’ve only on 3 occasions called them back. The first time, they said just let us know the next time you come through, and we will give you a credit. The next time, they said they had to see the receipt and were quite rude about fixing their mess up. Well, this last time was BAD. My kid literally did not get any of his food. We were also missing 2 bags of chips, and they messed up my taco. I called to let them know that I’d like to just drive back to get the food that was missing, and they clarified what was missing again.
When I got there, I went inside to pick up the food, and the guy was extremely rude. He ignored me for a long time before coming over to give me the food. He then gave me the 2 items I posted pictures of, no toppings, and no chips. There should have been 2 fish tacos with the toppings on the side, just a regular crispy taco with regular toppings and 2 bags of chips. The guy tells me, “I remember I made them for you.”
I tell him, “Well, they didn’t make it into my order.” He says, ‘I know I put them in there!” Multiole times I said I came back because we didn’t get that food and just repeated “No, I put them in there.”
This guy literally is telling me that I’m lying. I could not believe it! Like, I want to drive all the way back to get some free chips! Really?!!! I could not believe this guy was telling me I’m lying. My kid is at home waiting for his dinner, I skipped eating my food to run back to get my kid’s food, and this guy tells me I’m lying! Like, I enjoy leaving my dinner with my family to go get some free chips!
I asked again if he could please just give me the chips and the toppings for the fish tacos. I didn’t even say anything about that nasty beef taco (it looked disgusting and clearly was missing all it’s toppings) And this guy insists that he put the chips in my order. What the actual ….? This guy has doubled down on this idea that he remembers putting the chips in my order and doesn’t want to give me the food I just drove back for! How utterly ridiculous!
I just want to get the food for my kids and go home. We rarely eat food out these days, and when we do, it’s for the convenience because we are exhausted and don’t feel like cooking. This was not convenient.
Anyways, the dude gives me one bag of chips, not 2,, and the toppings for the fish taco, after getting tired of me continuing to tell him that, in fact, we did not get the food he somehow remembers putting in my order, 1 sorry fish taco and that sorry beef “taco”. I wasn’t going to argue anymore. I just couldn’t believe he would treat a customer that way. I was shocked.
We will make sure to not go to this Burrito Boy on Valley River Dr. again. Whoever owns this franchise needs to train their workers about customer service. I was very upset to be treated that way. I do not appreciate being told that I’m lying.
