I gave it a second chance: I shouldn’t have. I paid $21 for the food in the pictures below. Half of the few “burnt ends” I was given were fat. Coleslaw was bland, watery and forgettable. Baked beans were incredibly salty and mushy. If there’s any saving grace, its the fries. They were okay. Please go somewhere else. This is garbage food .

Surprised! Needed a quick bite. BBQ while in the KC area is usually a must. Pressed for time, I saw Burnt End BBQ and took a chance. Located in an understated strip mall, I wasn’t sure. It was after lunch hour, but the place was relatively busy. Glancing around, I could tell many of the customers were local. Had a simple pulled pork sandwich with fries. Wife had a turkey salad. Both were excellent! I’m calling the pulled pork about as good as it gets! Came with fries, which had a nice crisp crunch on them (lost art). 100% on Burnt End BBQ. Get some!

Service was great, we were greeted immediately at the door. The young person taking our order didn’t go out of their way to be friendly but the person who brought us our food was great. The wild rice was delicious but a little undercooked. I had to chew carefully to avoid chomping down on a hard grain. The veggies were cooked PERFECTLY. As a veggie lover I usually find that they’re too mushy or too crunchy. I’d argue that they’re harder to cook right than meat is because at least you can temp that. These were perfect texture, not too greasy, and tasted great. Coleslaw was one of a kind. I like that it wasn’t overloaded with mayo or white sauce. Mac and cheese was delicious, hubby said it was fire. The cheese sauce hardened on the plate after we were done which tells me they use high quality cheese. The BBQ sauces were pretty good, lots of options to choose from. The burnt ends were kinda dry. We recently had some from Biemers in Lawrence and they were much fresher there. We’re thinking that was probably one off thing and would try it again. Hubby really liked the fries, said they tasted like they were battered and seasoned lightly. The beans looked amazing, I wish we would of thought to order some or the front register helper would have suggested them. The gentleman cooking was grateful for our good feedback and really made our night. Overall, a great experience. We would return given the chance.

Was in town and wanted som good quick BBQ and this place did not disappoint. The menu offered a wide variety. The burnt end sandwich,potato salad and Mac and cheese were delicious. Great selection of sauces as well. Highly recommended if you want good and quick bbq.

The waitress was cool, not as attentive as we needed. The atmosphere was great, nice view but the food was over rated. I gave my wings to husband . My husband said the brisket was ok!

Ok, ok, ok!!!! All I can say was that the food was amazing. Kudos chef. To top it off, Alex displayed excellent customer service. Her service outweighed the mishap of our food being forgotten. My table received 3 separate trays at 3 different times. We waited a good 10 mins for our last tray. The server that was supposed to deliver it forgot about our table. I went up to retrieve my own tray. (Be careful that a last-minute big order does not supercede the previous customers’ orders; no matter what their staus is). Excuses are cousins to a lie….

WOW!!!! I can’t say enough AMAZING things about this place! If you haven’t tried their food, then I highly recommend going ASAP! The burnt ends were so tender they practically melted in your mouth! Cornbread BITES— DELICIOUS!!!! The staff are super friendly and down to earth. Very helpful to their customers! Genuinely good people and service! Everything we ordered we raved about to each other! I would eat here everyday if I could! There are several sauces and I suggest trying them all! We will be going back in the near future!

Ribs are very good! However, my last 2 takeout orders have been missing part of the order (sides). Not a huge deal, but it was irritating to get home and find that items were missing.
