Full menu of most popular Vietnamese dishes. Prices are more reasonable than most other joints. Unpretentious, easygoing and service is fast. Food is served with full accompaniment of herbs and spices. Bring cash or debit card to avoid additional fee for credit card payment. The food is generally good. OK portion. Their Bun Rieu is better than other restaurants. The ginger sauce is a good, added authentic bonus. There are often some guests of the owner (?) gathering in the back table and their conversation is loud in native VN, distracting the patrons. A friendly custom, amusing to observe.

Shhh! Don’t tell anybody cuz I don’t want to deal with line ups next time i’m back here. Whilst from the outside the place is unassuming with no frills (can go both ways with viet restaurants) the pho here is incredibly good! Forget Turtle on Ossington or the fancy place in Kensington, this right here is the real deal. The staff were really nice and accommodating. I’ll be back to try out more of the menu.

The service was good, but as soon as I walked in, there was a distinct smell almost like boiling broth.

After looking into the menu, I ordered beef wrapped in bay leaves, minced shrimp. I want vegetable spring rolls on the side, and they did that for me, which is where the service was good.

When I got the food, as soon as I took a bite or two of the beef rolls, I could tell that there was something wrong. It was very gamey and off taste.

I think that it was probably because of the oil that was used to deep fry. The spring rolls had a similar taste, but it wasn’t as strong as the beef.

I went up to the owner and told her about The beef, she essentially told me I don’t understand Vietnamese cuisine that I should order something else. Even though I’ve been eating Vietnamese food for over 20 years.

Also, they use really thick vermicelli noodles, almost like spaghetti.

It’s my first time walking there, definitely will not return

Tasty, No-Frills Vietnamese Comfort Food on Spadina!

Dropped by Bun Saigon on Spadina in downtown Toronto and had a super satisfying meal. I ordered the dry pork chop and tofu wrap with rice, and it totally hit the spot. The pork chop was well-seasoned and grilled just right — tender with a little char. The tofu wrap was a nice surprise: crispy outside, soft inside, and paired well with the rice and fresh veggies on the side.

Bonus points: they serve tea as water, which honestly felt like the perfect touch.

It’s a casual, cozy spot with quick service and generous portions. Nothing fancy, just straight-up good food at a fair price. If you’re in the area and want something hearty and comforting without the wait, Bun Saigon is a great pick.

Would definitely come back — maybe next time I’ll try the pho!

Absolutely loved this place! The pho was amazing so flavourful and comforting. The staff was incredibly friendly and truly went above and beyond to help me while I was there alone with my daughter, which meant a lot. Prices are very reasonable, the food was delicious, and everything came out super quick. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Second time here and I absolutely love it. Not many places offer rice paper egg rolls and these are some of the best ever. The snail noodles were also fantastic. They have a nice menu selection I look forward to trying on my future visits.

Clean Vietnamese restaurant, with an extensive menu. They have a pretty good variety of dishes from banh xeo to bun rieu and more!

We just went with broken rice with pork, chicken pho, and the pork and spring roll vermicelli. Yummy!

Servers are pretty friendly and quick to serve us

Small Vietnamese restaurant located in Chinatown. Pretty standard looking, nothing upscale or anything.

The Pho we ordered for the kids had way more soup than noodles, had we known we might have ordered Large bowls instead. Everything came out very quickly and presented nicely. Flavours are pretty authentic to traditional Vietnamese recipes. The spring rolls definitely look better than they tasted, the meat texture felt almost grainy – as if you ate mashed beans or something. It was different.

The family was very friendly and had great customer service. It probably wouldn’t be my “go to” every time but I would definitely come back.

I visited this place couple of weeks ago, the staff members were really kind and I liked their hospitality and courtesy that I received from the Vietnamese family that runs this business of fast-food restaurant. Very delicious and mouth watering Vermicelli Noodles , I ate with my friend. My go to place will be here from now on. Thank you to all you guys for your kindness and caring services. Since post-COVID 19, I have never seen any restaurant that does amazing job in serving food. Their cost is quite affordable. I recommend this restaurant for sure for take-out, dine-in or delivery.

My partner and I frequent this place often!

In terms of pho I think other places have better broth but this is the only place where I’ve gone to and their sate is delicious! In terms of the ambience it’s a family restaurant so they sometimes have children running around and screaming…. if you want good food I’d still say come here

I’d recommend this place and say try the sate beef noodle soup.. I think it’s number 117. It’s spicy and has a peanut butter taste!
