* Ownership need to close that place.
*We are not coming back!
We got there around 7:30 (I recall that the car clock said 7:28 as we parked) and were seated pretty quickly. There were customers but I wouldn’t call it busy. Our waitress came to greet us and came back shortly to take our drink orders and our appetizer order. Then we sat for an exceptionally long time until the appetizer came out. Only then was the rest of our order taken. We then didn’t really see her for another 30-40 minutes by our estimation.
Stopping in was a spur-of-the-moment decision and after sitting so long with an empty soda cup and a tired child getting crankier and crankier, we started looking for our waitress. She did finally come back and say that she was going to check on our food and disappeared again for several minutes – once again without refills.
We gave up waiting again and I was getting up to find another staff member to see if we could cash out for what we’d already had so we could run through a McDonald’s or something when our waitress finally came back from the kitchen with my wife and daughters’ food and said they were waiting on tater tots for mine. My favorite bit is that she brought our silverware at this time – a single unwrapped fork. Not sure if that was for the kiddo’s food or my wife’s but it was pretty funny in retrospect. By this time we were done. We asked for boxes and the check and to speak to the manager.
The waitress (whose name I can’t remember but might have started with a V?) shocked us by giving us attitude. She immediately told us that the order only went in at 8:06 and that there were other people she had to take care of. We found it odd that she knew down to the minute when she put our order in although we were fairly certain we had placed our order a while before that.
After more attitude we saw who we assumed might be a manager and let her know the situation. She apologized, let us know that this employee had frequent complaints, and gave us a voucher for another visit.
I want to stress, if you’ve made it this far, that the manager and the rest of the staff were great. One employee, who could have diffused the situation with a “Sorry, I put your order in late/the kitchen is backed up”, instead got a nasty attitude with us and ruined what had been a nice day up to that point.
I’ve never been to this particular BWW before and will certainly never come back. Should have looked before we decided to pull in and notice the relatively poor reviews.
In the end we waited an hour for a meal I left behind and ones my wife and daughter finished when we got home.
Just a side note – a LOT of those TVs need to be replaced.
We ordered 6 traditional wings. They were dry and room temperature. It felt like all they did was put sauce on some leftover wings.
Restaurant was extremely warm. We should have gotten our food to go.
I’ve had way worse dining experiences but this one definitely wasn’t the worst. Just nothing special and unfortunately not worth going back.
