If you’re looking for a place to kick back, eat good, and have yourself a real good time, Buffalo Blue is where it’s at. The vibe is laid back but still feels like you’re treating yourself. Cold drinks stay full, portions don’t play around, and the music keeps the place feeling alive.
Perfect spot to roll in with friends, family, or even host a big night out. Staff makes you feel welcome right away and keeps the good times going without hovering. You can tell they take pride in making sure folks leave happy and full.
If you like strong pours, bold Tex-Mex flavor, and a little country soul mixed with River Walk charm, you’ll fit right in. Definitely one of those places you show up planning to stay for one… and end up staying all night.

10/10 good ole time.

The Prost Tower was king of the table! Every appetizer was delicious but the deviled eggs won my heart. Service here was quick and friendly. The live guitarist they had playing at the time rally set the mood. I would definitely come back again.

We had an absolutely delicious and reasonably priced meal and drinks overlooking the Riverwalk. Found this restaurant on the last day of our week long stay Riverwalk Downtown SA. The Chicken Pecan Peach Salad was incredible and literally enough for 2 meals. I tried to finish it all but had to ” tap out”. The Host and Service was exceptional. Troy at the entrance and our server Lex did a great job. A bit quieter bend along the River, where you can actually sit and enjoy a conversation during your stop. It’s not overly noisy like many if the restaurant areas are. Will definitely eat here again and for certain recommend it to any visiting the Riverwalk.

What a wonderful little taste of Germany! The brats are excellent. The schnitzel and hunter sauce were very, very good but needed a touch of salt. (Skip the German potato salad.) I would definitely sit in the outdoor area all the way down by the river. The service was the best we had during our visit to San Antonio.

The food was really good. Highly recommend the pretzel. The waiter was very nice and helpful, and they also had live music, and it was a Friday. The only con was an angry squirrel. He ate his acorns above us and dropped the remains on our heads. Towards the end, he decided I was a toilet and peed on me. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience.

Awesome spot on the Riverwalk with great food, great beers and excellent service! Staying nearby, I stopped in for dinner and a beer. Malyn was tending the bar and gave awesome suggestions. Every suggestion was the right decision…including and especially the apple pie (not pictured because I dove right in without discretion). I’ll be back and will recommend to others as well!

My wife and I were very pleased by the entire experience here. It’s been a couple weeks since we went and I’m finally remembering to write this review. The live music was great, we sat through a couple bands and they were great! The decor was beautiful and made it feel like you were nowhere near the city. The food was very good and different than what we usually have a chance to eat. The brats were our favorite.

Most of all, our server, Danilo was excellent! He recommended a perfect beer and was very attentive to refills and any other requests while having a large area to serve. Danilo provided excellent conversation and some of the best service we have ever had with a big smile. You could tell he truly enjoyed what he did. I would return to the restaurant just for his service again.

Prost, y’all have an absolute gem in Danilo and some wonderful food and atmosphere to back him up. Keep it up!

Julian was a great bartender. He was able to read the room and be attentive without being overbearing. He told us a little bit more about the Riverwalk as well – we are from Houston and unaware of the area. The pretzel was delightful and the beer cold

Very disappointing visit. Went here after a visit to the Alamo and a walk by the river. After we had already made our choices the server then informed us two of the items were not available (Really! It was only 11:30 a.m.). The chicken schnitzel sandwich was quite small for the price and didn’t have much flavor. The bier cheese was also quite bland. The kids liked the corn dogs. The fries had an odd texture so not sure how they prepare them here. The beer was fine. The server was ok. Very shocked by the 3% fee for using a CC. Been to many other places in the San Antonio area and this is the first time I’ve encountered this penalty. At least have a sign posted letting patrons know ahead of time. Will not be going back.
