Nice to see a Buddy’s Detroit style deep dish in the area. Can’t go wrong with a 4 square and an individual size antipasto salad to have a quick and easy dinner for two. The individual size salad is more than enough for a couple of adults to go with a 4 square pizza.

This is definitely not the standard Buddys Pizza. Both times I’ve tried this location it’s been awful. For some reason they can’t produce a thick crust pizza as seen in the pictures. The deep dish looks more like a modified thin crust that has a weird sour taste of expired dough.

Ordered a pizza for carryout with extra sauce. The pizza was so overloaded with sauce it saturated the box so much that just holding the box normally still made the pizza tumble out of my husbands hands. This also caused the breadsticks on top fall and half were lost to the ground. This was incredibly poorly made and is basically inedible. The pizza itself was gloppy and that’s even after half the sauce was left in the box and on my husband. Will never be eating here again which is disappointing. This was a waste of time and money.

My fiancé and I tried Buddy’s pizza for the first time tonight and both horribly regret it… The pizza itself is so incredibly greasy, the dough is tough, and the entire thing tasted like a frozen pizza from the grocery store (the ones from the grocery store have been better than this). Plus on top of the pizza being extremely below average, it has messed up both mine and my fiance’s stomachs… We’ve both been feeling sick for hours and he has symptoms of food poisoning. Will never be coming back here.

Our family has been eating Buddy’s Pizza for decades and we have tried most of the locations (Dearborn, Ann Arbor, Livonia, Farmington Hills, Bloomfield, etc.) We were happy to hear that one was coming to Clarkston but a little concerned with some of the early negative reviews. Today for fathers day we decided to give the Clarkston location a try. Our Detroit Public Television and Hawaiian pizza (two family favorites) were as good as any Buddy’s pizza I have had through the years! Loaded with toppings and the sauce was perfect. Our Antipasto salad was also chock-full of meat and cheese and the dressing was great. They are pretty busy today and the order was ready at the promised time (within a 1/2 hour.) Glad there is an excellent Buddy’s location in our town now!

Ordered a pizza and a salad. Told 33, gave the cashier 40. He gave me 28 cents for change. When I questioned, he said it was 39. Good grief. He called me later and admitted it was a mistake, and owed me 6 and a half in change. Yeah, not sure I believe his “excuse”. Not that good a pizza. I think the one in auburn hills is so much better, won’t waste my time here again.

Happy to say that I have visited this establishment many times since my last review. My salads have come out correctly every single time. I even took it as far as to get an order for a pizza for delivery tonight and it was still piping Hot and absolutely perfect! I will also update to say that all the times I come in during the week to pick up my crazy with modification salad. All the employees are very kind and nice.
