Hello! We’re an owner-operated food cart serving up hand-crimped traditional savory pasties and sweet treats made from scratch. Tradition Flavor! PASTIES (pass-teez) = savory hand pies originating from the UK. Pasties made it to the USA by way of Cornish miners and have many regional adaptations and folklore. We honor the traditional Oggie, sample regional varieties, and play with new flavor combinations. Always handmade and always freshly baked. Stop by and grab a BITE!

After passing by and wanting to try Bucket Bites many a time, we finally stopped – and then we had to go back 3 more times! We’ve never been disappointed. The food is flavorful, soul comfort food. Their pastry is always spectacularly baked, never a soggy bottom! I love that the flavors change frequently – there’s always something new to try! Not to mention; the folks who run the business seem like just good people. 5 stars, no question!

Excellent pasties! We had the Oggie and Tailgater with a side of gravy, both delicious! The Whoopie pie was a great dessert too. Great customer service. Definitely recommend.

I recommend trying multiple items on the menu as each are fantastic on different ways! Truly divine food! The apple pie is so good I had tears falling. The chicken was delicious, my mom and I both enjoyed. The leek and mushroom extremely good. My partner and my mothers partner had meat options and ate them fast as ever. The woman who bakes is the woman you speak with and she is as kind as her food is good and let me tell you, this food is GOOD. Truly 5 stars all around. This baker is an absolute wizard in the kitchen. This is not to be missed! I bought some then had a bite and bought more lol.

For 2 years now, Bucket Bites has been one of my go-to spots. Their food is ALWAYS delicious, Chris and Christine and the most lovely people in the world, and I can honestly say I’ve tried just about every flavor of pasty and whoopie pie Christine whips up because they’re all worth trying. I love them so much that I even make the drive from Beaverton to Astoria as often as possible JUST for them… I don’t go because it’s convenient or on the way, I go because it’s THAT GOOD.

I have grown up eating pasties. My mom would make us make 20+ several times a year growing up. I hated making them. But loved eating them.

This is the house that dough and gravy built! Don’t be deterred by their small marketing budget, these babies speak for themselves. With love of the game, these warm, stuffed, stick-to-your-ribs, balls of comfort, will delight your taste buds and fill your belly. The gravy is mandatory, but in this reviewers opinion, it’s more of an Au Jus. But whether you french dip, free pour, or sip it like a beafy cocktail, you’re going to thank me for the tip. I openly admit, I was slow getting around to this review and for that I apologize, some of the details fade, but the energetic and dedicated folks in the kitchen stick out in my mind. They have a passion that I’ll remember to come back for. As far as the menu composition, they’ve got savory, they’ve got sweet, they’ve got limited time items, and they’ve got my vote! If you visit, be sure to try the BBQ pasties, the Whoopie pie, and the Apple Dumpling. You’re welcome.

AMAZING. My first time having a Pastie and it was absolutely phenomenal. From the crust to the gravy, everything tasted so fresh and comforting. I also couldn’t resist a sweet treat, which I was so pleasantly surprised at the creativity aspect, (carrot cake whoopie pie YUM). The customer service was also so great, they threw in an extra treat just because! We stop at little places to eat all the time, and Bucket Bites truly met our every need above and beyond. Thank you for the great experience!

A must stop in Astoria! Delightful food. We loved the gravy, and the pulled pork pastie with the smokey BBQ sauce was my fave. Everything was delicious, and we’re Australian, so pasties are standard fare at bakeries at home for us.

I’ve been here numerous times, with similar experiences. I’ve had all of their desserts, the lumberjack pasty, the tailgater pasty, as well as holiday cardamom bread during the Christmas season. They are both responsive and kind via any social media platform as they are in person. Really wonderful people that make delicious food. I haven’t had a single thing I didn’t find delicious.
