Nestled amongst luxury apartments, the train station, and many unique stores & attractions. Have an amazing dinner or lunch and then visit Varitage (Bloomfield’s own Micro Brewery), Hometown Arcade (play your favorite arcade games before or after dinner), Bury the Hatchet (ax throwing), Amazing Escape (escape room)! There is so much going on in Bloomfield Center – we are right in the middle of this happening area!

Update: Returned on a Sunday for a solitary early dinner and the dinner menu didn’t disappoint. I had the soft polenta which was so delicious in the combination of flavors and textures then had the beet salad, which was a special for the day. It was also so delicious and again the way they combine flavors and textures is stunning to me. Then I had their fusilli pasta and a wonderful fish (sole) dish. It’s hard to describe how everything tasted so good. I took my time to savor all 4 dishes with the intention of having leftovers for two more meals. The co-owner was kind enough to converse with me in engaging topics, which I appreciated. Look forward to returning soon!

It’s located on a small street off Bloomfield with other small independent restaurants and across from a parking garage. However it’s the kind of place you may find in Montclair or NYC so I appreciate their investing in Bloomfield. In any case, I was so glad we found this place, as I was really wanting pasta. There are SO many places in this part of NJ that it’s hard to choose; however, Bucco won me over due to their lunch menu and the reasonable prices. What amazed me was the portion size, which can’t be much different than a dinner. So generous and more than enough to take home for dinner. I had the spaghetti with pomodoro sauce, which was beautifully fresh and light. My partner had the pasta vodka and the pasta was al dente with a lovely creamy sauce. Both of us added side order of meatballs and wow, so tasty. I guess one could say a meatball is a meatball, but these were quite flavorful and not dry at all. Before the main dishes we had fried calamari, which was lightly crispy without it being rubbery…not easy to do! I had the Caesar salad as well, and the homemade dressing had just enough weight without being overly creamy. Warm bread was offered as well as beverages. This is a BYOB, which we didn’t realize so we’ll make sure to do that next time. Along with our takeaway, we added tiramisu which we will enjoy later. Add to the beautiful meal was the fantastic service from beginning to end (thank you!)

Incredibly tasty food. The Burrata Ravioli was so impeccable you will be dreaming of it later. Service was a just little too much! Three different servers asked twice each how I was enjoying my meal (I did enjoy it, a lot!)

We accidentally happened upon Bucco because the restaurant we were visiting was closed for the holiday. Oops! No problem.
Bucco came thru. We enjoyed calamari as an appetizer, and lunch meals were spaghetti with meatballs and baked ravioli. Wow!
And because the food was so delicious we had to try dessert. Tiramisu and cheesecake were heaven sent. One of the best Italian restaurants experiences ive ever had

Homemade pasta Fusilli Calabrese with shrimp. Well seasoned and you can choice the amount of shrimp. Chicken Capricciosa made with a crispy chicken topped with an arugula salad and a side of mashed potatoes.

I cannot say enough good things about the food, staff and service we received at Bucco’s for a private event we held to honor my mother after her funeral. Jen and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group in every way. They were so helpful and nice in the planning so that once we arrived, I didn’t have to worry at all. And the FOOD!! So amazing ! Almost everyone in our group of 50+ came up to tell me how delicious it was. We can’t wait to come back for a date night dinner because it’s that special of a place. Thank you for putting such thought and care into our event.

We had our Mom’s repast here today, and Jen and Frank and staff went above and beyond to help us honor our Mom. The restaurant is so warm and inviting and they set it up family style. From the minute we entered they were inviting and responsive to all of our family and friends. The penne Vodka was the best my Italian aunt Fran ever had (and she is a great cook!) We had Chicken Francese which was excellent along with fabulous sole oreganata, roasted veges and potatoes, salad and cheese cake! Can’t say enough about the quality of the food and the service. Thank you Jen for all you did to make this day so very special for Jo and I❤️❤️❤️

Great service and great food! Mike is great! He’s very knowledgeable about the menu and will help you make the right selection. The restaurant is cozy but is able to accommodate larger parties just by moving the tables around. They also have live music. I’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I were very impressed. We split the Asian pear salad. He had the porkchop, I had the fried Chicken. Both were moist and nicely seasoned.
It is BYOB if you forget your wine there is a store right around the corner that delivers.
The chef was right out front asking how we were enjoying our meal. Very friendly and attentive staff.
We will definitely be going back!
