Some of the worst bbq I’ve had in the Springfield area. Pictured is the “brisket” and “burnt ends” of you can call them that. What kind of bbq place serves brisket almost shredded and grey burnt ends. The mac n cheese tasted like watered down cheese, no flavor whatsoever. The only decent thing we had were the wings. Would not recommend this place.

It’s about like all the other barbecue places. You walk in the door up to the counter to order and pay. However none of the prices are listed on their board. You have to wait until you get to the counter to actually see the prices on the menu laying on the counter. I ordered the southern barbecue pulled pork sandwich with the okra. The food was very good especially the seasoning on the okra. I can’t give it a five-star because I haven’t tried anything other than that on the menu since this was my first time. If everything else turns out as good I will upgrade my rating. I do need to do something about their menu board and maybe pass out menus to those in line if they’re not going to.

I had the big bubba with fries. Overall good, burger was good and fries had a sweetness to them. The burger was obviously frozen, pork was great, fries were under half inch long, bottom of bag type fries. Although good, could have been so much better. Fresh burger and full length fries i would give it 5 stars. My coworker had cheeseburger and fries were same way. Another coworker had burnt ends with mac, ends were fatty and Mac was cold.

The food is amazing! We had the Southern Belle and Cowboy sandwiches, mac n cheese, cole slaw, and pit beans. Some of the best BBQ we’ve had. Mac n cheese is extra cheesy, pit beans cooked with burnt ends, and the cole slaw is horseradish based, but sweet. Definitely the best cole slaw we have ever had! The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Thank you for packing our to-go order neatly. Visited on a Monday evening. The only problem was it quiet in the restaurant. Not enough people there. Cmon folks! Come visit and try the food, and get the word out to others!

My son and I ate at Bubba’s today. Great experience. Food was perfect. Always enjoy the low key atmosphere. Burnt ends and pulled pork were perfect. If you like fresh cut fries, this is your place. My son said he had the best burger in Springfield. Thanks for a great Sunday lunch.

This was a road trip pit stop for my husband and I, we were wanting something more substantial than fast food. This place absolutely didn’t disappoint. We ordered the combination platter with burnt ends and sliced brisket. Brisket was sliced super thin and had excellent flavor. The burnt ends were so tender, they melt in your mouth. BBQ sauce selection was wonderful, we utilized the mild, the spicy, and the gold sauce went really well with the sweet potato fries. Top tier BBQ! This place would fit in well with the best of KC bbq. I’ll come back if I’m ever in Springfield.

The wings were actually pretty good this time! The potato salad is the thing that keeps me coming back. I was there around 7 pm on a Wednesday and there was only one other table the entire time. Everything was still fresh and the servers were attentive. Make sure you try the smoked chicken and the potato salad, if nothing else!

First time coming here, and it won’t be the last! The food was overall quite tasty. My pulled chicken was great, and burnt ends were amazing. The fried corn on the cob was made well and seasoned wonderfully. The Mac n cheese is definitely homemade and good, but not my all-time favorite. My husband really liked the pink sauce that came on his Cowboy sandwich. We also picked up some fried pies to go. The cherry was pretty good, and the apple was fine. If you’re not a fan of skin on your apple, I’d recommend trying a different flavor of their pies. The service was friendly and very helpful. Also, the music being played was top knotch (Childers, Simpson, Jinks, Bryan, etc.). We definitely plan on going back!

I took a friend to Bubbas. We both got the 3 meat platter meals. I got the burnt ends (as always), ham and sausage. My friend got burnt ends, turkey, and pulled pork.
My friend loved it all, mine was good but his burnt ends were cooked perfectly mine weren’t cooked near enough, no burnt parts at all! But my friends were great and I’m happy about that. The only thing that was not good, it was freezing inside the restaurant. It was in the upper 40s outside… but my friend had to go get his coat and I had to put mine back on… way too cold.
I think my burnt ends were a fluke, I’m still at 5 stars and I still recommend it and will go back.
Update-
We went back and Bubba’s BBQ is still 5 stars! We shared the 5 meat platter, ham, burnt ends, brisket, pulled pork, and smoked sausage. All great!!!! Loved the sauces too.
The sides were okra, fries, and baked beans. They were all good, the beans were great!
Great service and the place was clean.
I recommend it and will return for sure!
