It was Christmas Eve and pretty late at night and we wanted some Indian street snacks so decided to go to the closest mithaas. Turns out that it’s now Moghul express but the menu is virtually the same with additional non vegetarian options. We show up close to closing but they still serve us and allow dine in. We order dhai puri and raj kichodi. Both were made fresh and tasted great, good quality ingredients. Would reccomend and price was good too.

Staff and service were awesome. Food was prepared fresh and hot when served. The staff was great and very welcoming. The rice was soft and fluffy and made with cumin. The cottage cheese dishes were made with fresh tomatoes and made very well.

We visited on Sunday afternoon and there was no rush. We were greeted well and the service overall was good. We have been visiting this location for several years (it was Mithaas earlier) but visited for the first time since it turned into Moghul Express which means we tried their non-vegetarian food for the first time. We have been ordering Hakka noodles, paneer butter masala and garlic naan for long, ordered this time as well and thankfully the taste remains the same. We tried chicken chilly for the first time and asked to make it spicy with extra green chillies but it wasn’t. We appreciate that our server shared our feedback with the chef and brought us second plate complementary. It was spicier than earlier but still it was mild level. Hope they work on the spice levels. We love their Indo-Chinese food, chaats and chenna sweets and would go back again.

I have been a loyal customer of the Edison location, but my experience at this branch was alarming and warrants a serious health safety warning.
Foodborne Illness: My wife experienced vomiting after returning home, and my mother had an upset stomach. Witnessing another diner find fungus in their dish confirms a critical lapse in food safety.
Facility Hygiene: The problems extend to the premises. The restroom was unclean and, most disturbingly, had no hand soap. This raises major concerns about whether employees are able to wash their hands properly after using the facilities.
Conclusion: Between the food-related illnesses, contaminated dish, and unsanitary restroom, it is evident that basic hygiene and cleaning protocols are not maintained. For your health, I strongly advise avoiding this location.

I’ve been going to Moghul express Edison for over 5 yrs now and absolutely love their food. I happened to be in Piscataway and decided to pick up my favorites from this branch. Bad decision. Got the chilli chicken, aloo kulcha & Delhi butter chicken and nothing tastes close to the one I’m used to. Butter chicken peices are usually from the Bhatti at Edison while here, it was simply hard kebabs in an overly tangy sauce. Of course I don’t want the leap on heavy cream but ever heard about balancing flavors? Chilli chicken – beyond horrible. The coating was smelling and many peices were stale. I have a problem with this kind of food because it is NOT CHEAP!! The aloo onion kulcha had no stuffing
I’m a new mom and I do not need stale food on my plate. I will be calling the restaurant to complain but word needs to be out so these people can do a better job.

It’s a clean place. The staff is very nice, polite, and patient.
They have great food options from chaat, veg to meat items. The chaat is always great and they can customize if you don’t like something.
The mithai in the front counter is dry. Not at all a fan of it except for the fusion dessert items.

I visited this restaurant this evening, and I was genuinely impressed. The food was absolutely phenomenal full of flavor and beautifully prepared. I was honestly speechless because everything tasted so good. The customer service was just as amazing. My server, Sahil, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. He took great care of me & my family also I appreciate the effort he put into making sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. Go try it I’m sure you’ll love the food as much as I did!

I was surprised to see Mogul open another restaurant. This location for so many years changed hands from one Indian restaurant to another Indian restaurant.
The building was updated with a fresh coat of paint. Nothing major. This had table service and pickup. Order tikki Marsala and naan. Taste was average nothing standout type of flavors.
Order my lunch took longer than expected. Waiters were plentiful but helped patrons after me and were served while my order was on the back counter. I patiently waited.
Prices are on the higher side compared to other Indian restaurants. Plenty of parking in their lot.

We drove 30 minutes for dosa, only for them to be completely out. The water wasn’t working so there was no restroom access. There were also no diet sodas. If you dine here, call to confirm what is actually available. Service was good, food was okay.
