Over priced awful food. I order the most expensive thing on the menu $19.99 – steak and 2 pieces of fish – steak was baby size rubber flip-flop. The “restaurant ” need complete renovation overall. My stomach was in shock till the rest of the day. Do yourself a favor – go somewhere else.

We ate here a year ago. It was good but way over priced for what little was on the buffet. Desserts were in 2 inch plastic cups, potato salad was in a big tupawear container with no ice under it, same with the salad. We were told it was just put out that’s why I ate from it. My husband ate off the menu as the buffet isn’t temp controlled like in the North & nearly everywhere in America and it was very hot that day. I did end up with a issue I generally never have if you no what I mean but that could have been from anything. The ladies did a great job cooking the meat, we complimented them as we were leaving and they were actually eating from the buffet as well. My husband enjoyed his steak off the menu. We are trying the country pride next door this time around as the reviews are much better. We might be back in the future

We were passing through on I-20 and decided to try Brushy Bayou. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The salad bar was a huge disappointment. The food was less than average. The atmosphere was horrible…..dark, dank, and dated. The smell of smoke from the gameroom made it even less inviting.

Needs frog legs . Shrimp . Alligator. Onion with the catfish . Nice people friendly environment . The sing out front may need to be changed to southern home style cooking . I was prepared for shrimp crawfish frog legs . The place was clean pricey . All in all I could tell the local people lookd to be at home here .

Closing time: Trucker path app says 7, Google says 9, website says 10, called and they say 7:30. I think they make it up as they go. Hub had pork chops (too salty) I had spaghetti too much water in the bottom of bowl, had cold spots in it, and was too salty. All in all was not too bad, would go back.

House salad is $3, salad buffet (strickly lettuce and toppings) is $8. Waste of money. I ordered a hot beef with baked potato, “hot beef” was sliced lunch meat on a piece of bread. Husband had seafood gumbo which included just shrimp and rice with some veggies. I’d rather give money to a homeless person to eat.
