I placed an order in app for the classic egg sandwich box with 6 sandwiches. I arrived and the person behind the counter told me they couldn’t fill the order due to lack of bagels, and they didn’t know how to cancel the order. The fact that I drove all the way there from 20 minutes away to find out the bagel place was out of bagels wasn’t even the issue, it happens. He then got the manager, who could not be bothered to put his mop down and come over to talk to me, or even look at me while he was telling me they can’t cancel the order and I have to do it online. Zero concern for the fact that you can’t actually cancel anything online, and made me keep asking questions to find out what I was supposed to do to get refunded $45 for the order. Completely disrespectful. If you order online and they can’t fill it, just know that you fill out a contact form online to request a refund. The manager should go through this process and learn how to do this, and how to talk to customers. Give them ALL the information up front without making them figure it out themselves. Completely unnecessary to tell someone from 15 feet away while continuing to mop the floor that “we can’t cancel it” and let that be basically the only thing you say without being continually prompted. Offer better training and get better managers.

Ordered a western and they don’t put chipotle mayo on it and I also found a small black hair. Very slow service as well This place has gone down hill in the past 5-10 years. In my opinion it was at its best when Audra was the manager. Definitely gonna avoid it and go to the family owned bagel place in mint hill

Brueggers this Matthews location is friendly and has attentive service, good value for money, and classic bagel comfort food, with a wide selection of bagel flavors to choose from. Also additional sides like the hash brown cooked to a crisp and hot. The atmosphere is also very welcoming.

I placed an online order on Wednesday, 02-07-24, to use my birthday reward. I ordered the twice-baked hash brown and a cinnamon raisin bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. I was a little late picking up my order, but the food was still hot. I started enjoying the hash brown in the car and almost went back to get another one.

This is the first time we have been here since Covid. I met my daughter there at 1:15 pm. When we walked in all the chairs were up on the tables except for two. One table had a couple eating at, so we asked the person sweeping the dining room if he was able to wipe the table off. He stated “we close the dining room down at 1:00pm”. Well the sign on the door says open until 2:00 pm. So my daughter was ordering us lunch and he said that he would clean the table off for us in a grumpy manner, how off putting was this.
We did get our sandwiches, Herby Turkey (which is always good) and ate and left way before 2:00pm closing. This will be the last time we visit as there are places that truly want our business.

I used to via this location frequently. Not anymore! Since the new management took over, it’s gone downhill. The prices are much higher. Over $4 for a bagel and cream cheese. The girl behind the register said it was because of tariffs. That’s not how tariffs work. But the worst part was that the bagel tasted awful! I’ve never had a bad bagel. No flavor to it. It must have been missing some basic ingredient, like salt maybe. And the atmosphere is not welcoming.
Save your time and money and go elsewhere for the bagels.

I ordered, and paid for, 2 hash browns and only received one. When I tried to call, it was impossible to get through to them. It rang on and on. I am completely unimpressed. I wouldn’t recommend ordering delivery from here because if they make a mistake, you wont be able to fix it unless you go in person maybe.

Food is very good. Service is good. The manager is personable. The only complaint is that the store has needed updating for many years. The chairs are breaking, rug is disgusting, tile is dated and dirty, the bathrooms are filthy and windows need washing. Oh and the music is very annoying. When the weather permits we eat outside because of the music.
