Wow! Just wow! Everything about this place is incredible, from the beautiful decor to the friendly staff, I felt like I was just back at home in my mom’s kitchen! My busboy, “b-dog” was super helpful! He definitely deserves a promotion, we saw him hard at work the whole time! 5/5 stars, will come again!

The service was amazing. The environment is very hospitable and the wait staff genuinely care for their customers. Friendships soon form with wait staff after only a few visits. There is no better place to go than Brookside. The hours are amazing and they treat their staff so well.

Food is consistently good to very good. They have large portions and good coffee. Gluten free bread is on the menu. Wait staff is friendly and efficient.

Great food at reasonable prices. The portion sizes are very generous. We got the western sandwich, which is your classic ham, onion, cheese, and peppers. They call it a sandwich, but it looked more like an omelet on a bagel. In fact, the picture I took you can’t even see the bottom bagel. We also got the Mike’s corn beef and hash with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and an english muffin grilled (it has to be grilled!). The corn beef is fresh. You can tell it’s not corn beef and hash from a can, so it’s really filling. Needless to say, we’re unable to finish either one of the meals and will definitely be back again!

Amazing food! Friendly and attentive staff with overly generous portions! We have never been disappointed anytime we’ve been there for breakfast or dinner! Brookside is our favorite go to restaurant.

This place is great! Staff is friendly and welcoming and the customer service is great. I’ve only had breakfast here and I was very happy and with my meal. I got the North Ender, Sweet Italian sausages, peppers, onions, and provolone cheese, hash browns and English muffin griddled. The sweet sausage was delicious and the the provolone cheese pull was ridiculous it was great! Will be back definitely!

Small town cafe that behaves like it’s the only real food in a zone of chain-style fast food places. Simple and old-fashioned decor, comfortable chairs, in a small building hidden behind trees on a side street. Nice, friendly service. Large portions and good variety of American classics. We ate breakfast so focused on omelettes and egg dishes.

They are absolutely wonderful. I had potato wedges and Vanilla Frappe. Both were great. I stayed at the restaurant for several hours as I wanted to be at a safe place while waiting for the Coldplay show at the Gillette stadium. The restaurant staff was so nice about it. They are very friendly and made me feel welcomed.

We visited Brookside Cafe twice during our stay, and each visit reaffirmed why this spot is beloved in the neighborhood—everyone is incredibly friendly, and it genuinely feels like “everybody knows everybody.”
First visit: I had the Steak & Eggs—a generous portion of tender sliced steak served with two eggs and hash browns—exactly the hearty breakfast you want to power through a busy morning. My girlfriend opted for the Breakfast Burrito Wrap (packed with eggs, ham, sausage, onions, peppers, and potatoes, plus salsa and home fries), which was so large neither of us could finish it
On the Second visit: I went for the Brookside Sampler, a classic combo of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns, and two buttermilk pancakes—the ultimate comfort breakfast that’s perfect for sharing . My girlfriend once again chose the burrito—and surprise—it was still too big the second time!
A fun little local touch: some folks just pop in daily for a muffin—it’s clearly a community staple.
What stood out:
Hospitality is top-notch—staff greet you like family in this cozy setting.
Portions are enormous—you’ll leave full and satisfied, especially if you’re hungry.
Menu has serious variety—from classic steak & eggs to sampler platters, burritos, pancakes, omelettes, everything feels fresh.
