Atmosphere cafeteria like. Went for breakfast. Food was bland. Only two people in kitchen had on gloves. What was a turn off was cook left area and the building, but did not wash his hands after returning. Retraining needed on food safety and sanitation.

Brocatos is in a nice location with pretty easy access. Parking can be an issue depending on peak serving times. The atmosphere is comfortable, very cafeteria-like. The menu is quite large, and family service with a smile seems to be a good theme. The food has always been fresh when I visited. The repeat customers seem to be very satisfied. its always good to support local family-owned restaurants, which seem to be crowded out by “chain” restaurants lately. Recommended.

First time to eat here and the breakfast was fantastic! It’s on the right going into Alexandria before Menard high school! Prices are reasonable and plenty of room for large groups! Open Monday through Friday!

The service was fine the food was bland most of the the food was prepared by people with no hair nets ,no gloves and no hair face net for facial hair. That should be worn for all. I’ve worked in a restaurant before and I had to wear hairnet a hat and gloves. It is one thing to go eat somewhere else and you should not have to worry about things like that especially if you’re going to find somebody’s facial hair or hair off their head in your food.

Got their biggest breakfast- $8.50-this included all the coffee you can drink. The coffee was pretty good to be free. Great food at a decent price ina clean place and not a communist in sight.

I went here for lunch and it is definitely a very local spot. It seems to have its regulars and you may be confused initially if you are not one, but I think it is worth a try.
Definitely home cooked food with a staffed kitchen. It kind of reminds me of a cafeteria and that isn’t a bad thing. There are daily specials, but you can also order from a menu.
I will be honest and say it’s been a couple of years since I visited this spot, but I remember we liked the food and that the seating area was cleaner than many of the larger chains in the area. I always appreciate a place where the employees take pride in their work areas.

Maybe I’m just to cajun for Alexandria BC back home in Lafayette the food is always seasoned and flavorful but NOT HERE !!! Very disappointed first & last time trying this place. Fried Shrimp was bland no seasoning what so ever. Fountain drinks were also HORRIBLE !!! COKE TASTED FLAT someone changed the coke but it still was gross so probably the machine is dirty and old or it’s the ice either way it’s nasty. Definitely wouldn’t recommend eating here. I can cook better than this place just being real. Staff was okay.

One of the best breakfast places in America and I travel all over the US for work. I haven’t eaten lunch here but the menu changes daily. A meat and 3 shifted buffet lunch. Looks great highly recommend.
