Here’s a hidden eatery inside much more than a coffee shop. Though the cappuccino was delightfully perfect we were more than surprised by the best burger in Georgetown. If the other places are jammed or you’re ready for a tasty change don’t pass by Brewed Awakening ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came here on vacation- small little place on the strand, unassuming from the outside. BUT THE FOOD, COFFEE, AND SERVICE WAS PHENOMENAL! We are “foodies,” “coffee snobs,” and also former waitstaff, and so we are pretty discerning and have a high bar…this little place was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh, perfectly seasoned. Coffee was just right, and our waitress was wonderful- someone who was genuinely friendly and you can tell actually enjoys her job and the place where she works.
The chef and owner, Anthony, came out to say hello to all the tables and it was absolutely wonderful to meet him. His passion for food really came through and such a nice guy. Offered to bring us back in the kitchen and teach us, and we were tempted!
If we lived local, we would be here ALL the time. If you’re looking for coffee, breakfast, or lunch, DON’T miss Brewed Awakening!!

Had lunch with local friends while visiting them in Georgetown…This charming place in the center of the downtown shopping area has a nice, exposed brick ambiance you’d hope for and friendly, attentive expert service! I had the Ruben sandwich and it was delicious, juicy and as good as any I’ve ever had!! My friends, a couple who are loyal to this place, shared the mushroom burger – their favorite thing on the burger list. This is a great place for local charm and down-right good food!!! Highly recommended!!!

We weren’t greeted when we came in. Or when we sat in the waiting area. Most every table was full of people just hanging out on conputers and phones with empty plates. There were only 2 women absolutely stressed out to the max running around a packed place. We went to the Cafe across the street and had a wonderful breakfast with sweet waitresses that greeted us with smiles right as we walked in and checked on us with kindness and great attitudes. The food was delicious and came out in minutes after we ordered it. Great food, at a great price, with southern hospitality right across the street. Don’t waste your time waiting to get served by over worked waitresses on over priced food. Go across the street and thank me later.

Had an early morning breakfast meeting; which was more breakfast than meeting…but I didn’t mind at all. Comfortable place to eat with the nostalgic look and setting to match the Historic Front Street area.
I enjoyed a ham , cheese, and mushroom omelette with home fries, bacon, and a pancake. Everything was so enjoyable, I wished my stomach was larger!
The food and service are fantastic, looking forward to returning!

I’ve been to this establishment twice now. Each time has been absolutely lovely! Between the service and the food; I honestly have no words by how much I’ve been blown away!!! The first time I went, I asked about a cheese because didn’t know what it was on the fig awesome burger. The waitresses were super kind and didn’t laugh at me because I didn’t know what it was! I have to say that the fig awesome burger listed on the limited time menu, and honestly, I’m kind of hope they want to make it a permanent menu item was the best burger I have had in a loooooong time!! Honestly, best place to eat in Georgetown!! Stopping in and getting something as simple as a grilled cheese and tomato soup will just blow you away and make your tummy Super happy!!
Thanks for all your efforts to everyone that works at this establishment. Keep up the great work!!

I had the “Traditional American Breakfast”. It was awesome! I had to wait about five minutes to be seated because they were busy. But they were busy because they are good. I will definitely go back to this place. The food was great, the people were nice and excellent service, and I would rate my overall visit five stars. Excellent!

I really struggled with giving two vs three stars. I wish there was a half star option because this place is a solid 2.5 stars. And, honestly, one full star is because they had heavy cream- which many coffee places do not. We visited at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning in late September and the place was crowded. Since we wanted coffee to go we thought that would be a quick transaction at the counter. This was not our experience at all. To begin, there was what seemed like chaos around the to-go area with people putting their names on a list to be seated, others waiting for to-go food and others, like us, wanting to order to-go coffees. Not a single Brewed Awakenings employee acknowledged or seemed to want to help us. After waiting approx 15 minutes, we ordered 4 drip coffees and 2 blueberry muffins to go. It took 25 minutes to prepare. The coffee was strong but went well with my heavy cream. The muffins were horrible. Just horrible. Everything was served in styrofoam – which is always disappointing. For 30+ minutes while we waited, waiters walked by with plates of breakfast food that looked delicious. An order of biscuits and gravy went past that looked absolutely divine. I would probably go back when I had all the time in the world to wait and try the food but would def skip this place for quick, to-go coffees.
