Had a wonderful dinner with the family here. Very nice wine selection to go along with the good starter offerings. Oysters were very nice start, which Max said were from Baja. I have always had PNW, NorCal, or New England varieties. These were delightful! Followed with the brie, which devoured in 3 minutes. Worth the wait. It is suited for two so order more than one for three or more people. My wife had a very well prepared martini and a Cesar’s salad was shared. Nice touch with pickled purple onions. Mains were pasta, lamb, and the chefs cut steak. The Lamb was very tender and delicious. The lamb sausage is like a semi spicy kofta. My wife had the steak which was lean and cooked perfectly per her order. The accompanying mushrooms and sauce did not overwhelm the beef, which is how we like it. I didn’t get a chance to taste the pasta, but my daughter ate it all. We shared a carafe of Tablas Creek white blend. Don’t know what the corkage fee is, probably should inquire since there are wineries all over the place. Finished with coffee and desserts. Coffee was nice and thankfully very hot! Don’t know why so many restaurants serve semi hot coffee. Overall nice atmosphere. We dined outside which was helped by the cool summer evening. Inside was gorgeous, with a beautiful bar. We all commented on the modern but comfortable french bistro chairs. Very nice touch. I will return to try the beef bourguignon or octopus. Finally our server Max did a great job pacing the orders and answered all the questions on the menu. There is street parking, but if you know this town, it’s good to know the several parking garages nearby. I do reccomend reservations, which we made 45 minutes prior. We were pleasantly surprised by this place, having just arrived in town and picked it almost randomly.

Great meal top to bottom. We really enjoyed every single item we ordered. Cocktails were great (not too sweet). The baked brie and kale salad were perfect starters to have together (the clean acidity of the salad really balanced rich, sweet brie.) Overall, the mussels were the standout dish for me. Super flavorful. Our service was top notch, too!

❤️❤️ Ate here 2 nights in a row. Shout Out to FRANKIE for taking awesome attentive care of us both nights. Had the Drunken Clams & Octopus first night . Had post-dinner Charcuterie Board 2nd night. .Felt like VIPs and ambience was really welcoming. Good selection of by the glass (rec Grassina – white). Definitely be back next time we’re in town.

One of our first post pandemic outings, and we’re fortunate to dine at Brasserie SLO. They have a good selection of beers and wines. At first glance their menu is not well-suited for vegetarians but they made up for it with many excellent starters, which we ordered quite a few: Barata with figs, Caesar (not vegetarian), Grilled Broccolini. For my entree, I had the Papardelle. Finished off with a generous portion of their excellent pecan pie. Everything was superbly prepared and tasted great. We really enjoyed our meal in their courtyard.

Pretty good food at not outrageous prices. Fun drinks, flavorful meals, good location. It can get cool in the outside seating so bring a jacket just in case.
