The Boston Sail Loft is just a great classic seafood restaurant on the water in Boston. It is not a fancy place, but the food is great with large portions and it is a great place to be for dinner. They do not take reservations but there is a waiting list the host will put your name down and then call you. There is a bar inside that is first come, first serve too.

I’m not a seafood person however the people I went with said the fish and chips were the freshest they’ve ever had, they were very impressed! They also really enjoyed the mussels. I got the California club wrap and it was really good! The portions were very good size for the price! It’s a casual place, great service and right on the water. We sat inside but I believe they have a small amount of outdoor seating.

One of the top 2 or 3 lobsters I’ve ever had. Our entire party loved the food, service & the low-key atmosphere. Both the mussels or salad option with the lobsters were very popular.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Sail Loft in Boston, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This cozy seafood restaurant nestled by the waterfront offers a true taste of classic New England cuisine.

When you go to Boston, you want to have local food, with great atmosphere, but at an affordable price. This is that place. I had lobster roll, clam chowder and breaded pudding, two glasses of wine and a coffee for under $100. We shared everything to try everything. All the plates around us also looked so good. The lobster roll was fresh and the clam chowder created a craving in my mouth that I would fly back to Boston for just this.

Great food, and great view, and best of all no wait time. We tried the clam chowder, fried clams and lobster roll. The clam chowder is one of the best clam chowder I ever had. They give us a generous portion of clam chowder for around $8. The chowder was thick and creamy and full of clams. The dills also add a nice touch to the dish, it compliments the chowder without overpowering it. The fried clams were really good, the clams were tasty and juicy. However do be careful with the clams, we did get some clams that taste kinda odd, and 2 members from our group get stomach ache after, that might or might not be from eating these clams. The lobster roll is pretty good with a generous portion of fresh lobster meat. We paid around $70 for the three dishes. Overall it’s worth it to come here for their clam chowder and the great view

Best dill chowder in town!! Do yourself a favor order a bowl. It’s so good we ordered again and again. Chowder is the best. But fish and chips not that good. Not much flavor. We will come back for the chowder. That’s it.

Best seafood restaurant in Boston! I was recommended to try lobster here and had an amazing experience. Even though we had to wait outside for over 1 hour to have a table, it was really worthwhile. Next time definitely book in advance. So sweet and juicy and fresh lobster with generous amount of portion. We ordered lobster bisque, lobster steam, lobster roll and clam chowder. All were with fantastic quality, we were over the moon with the food. Great wine and very quick service, cosy atmosphere by the river! Price is also more reasonable than other places and with top quality!

This place is AMAZING! I highly recommend dinner here – we were sent here by recommendation and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed steamed lobster, lobster Mac and cheese and the BEST Chowda I have ever had! Ensure this restaurant is on your radar for a meal, you won’t want to miss out! On a plus side, it is walking distance from downtown!

Very tasty, delicious food. The mussels tasted somehow better than other places I had before. The lobster is also very sweet, but after we take it back with a to go box. The claw tasted bitter. I guess it only taste better when they first serve them to you. The chowder is also amazing, full of ingredients, and you can taste the texture.
