The food was amazing. I got Jibarito to share (pork sliders) 3 in the order. I got the Churrasco plate and the La Borinqueña. They both hit the spot. Thank you …

A little taste of home. Truly authentic Puerto Rican food. Only one waitress, though, so she was having trouble keeping up… But she was super sweet and did apologize for the delay a few times. Definitely going back… Maybe even next weekend… Mind you in 4 hours away… Yes it was that good.

I went to Boriquen today. The owner is a sweetheart. Her son is as well. This is a family owned restaurant serving authentic Puerto Rican food. I’m from the East Coast and am excited that there is a good Puerto Rican restaurant not too far from me. Everything I ordered was tasty and well seasoned. I had the beef and cheese empanada, mofongo with crackling pork and the deep fried flan. Yummy!!! In addition to my dine-in order, I took some food home to my daughter and brother. I got white rice with beans and I ordered the rice with pigeon peas. She threw in some roast pork and yucca and OMG they were so good. I’ll definitely be back with friends and family. The service was top notch. Oh and there’s no picture of the rice and beans because we gobbled them up LOL

The food is great. It takes a little while to get your food so be prepared to wait. However, the food all tasted delicious and so worth the wait!

OMG!!!!!! This food is so so good. It’s so fresh and flavorful. It makes you feel connected to the culture. The hospitality is superb. They make you feel like family coming home to visit. The chef came out to ask us how we liked the food. I wanted to give a standing ovation but I try not to be so extra lol. I suggest if you love Carribean or central American food that you stop by. You will feel like your soul is on fire. We ordered almost every item. It was so filling. I will definitely be returning

Where do I start???? My goodness … My husband is Puerto Rican and from the Bronx. He has certainly missed authentic Puerto Rican food. We tried Mofongos and a food truck here in the Antelope Valley that kindda swerved the craving but Borinquen has fully taken him back! The food, the service, the atmosphere is completely amazing! Jessica (the owner) and her son, are complete sweethearts! We had Arroz con Gandules and Pernil (pulled pork and the most flavorful rice), Pollo Guisado (sautéed chicken and rice) Bistec Empanizado (breaded steak). Finger licking good! For drinks, we had morir soñando, mango frappe and piña colada served in pineapple. For an appetizer, you cannot and will not go wrong with the soruyitos and empanadas with beef and cheese. The flavor is amazing! We will definitely be going back! I am Salvadorean and our pastelistos are good, but in all honesty, these empanadas knocked our pastelitos out of the race absolutely delicious. What we paid, was totally worth it. If you want a change to the norm out here and want authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, you have to stop by. Oh and my husband received a free Fried Flan that was sooooooo good for his bday.

My son and I decided to try Borinquen because of the 5 star reviews. Firstly the food was amazing, we had La Borinqueña and Chuleta Frita. There were so many layers of flavor for everything we ate. But it just wasn’t about the food, “Isaiah” the waiter/son was so welcoming. The chef even came to check on us along with the owner/mama. You can taste that their food is made with love. They radiate kindness and take pride in their restaurant. We love family owned business and we pray for their continued success!
