My first time here & the ladies were nice & well mannered. I came here on a Saturday during the 6 p.m hour it was not at all busy. I bought a short order of rib tips & mac & cheese. They don’t have a lengthy order of side items which was disappointing, I had to ask the lady if they had any other sides because I think it was only 4 listed & she said mac & cheese. The tips were good, like came off the bone easily & a nice amount!
The mac & cheese could use more seasoning, it was just ok. I would come here again to try their fish, & their lemonade looked good, but I’m not sure if its home made prices are decent, & I’ll be rerurning soon.

Wow what a pleasant surprise! Everything I had on my plate was delicious! Catfish, yams, greens, cornbread. Portion size was good. Service was good. Cashier was very pleasant and packed order nicely. Only complaint is there was too much juice from greens that spilled out in the paper bag. Thank god they wrapped my cornbread and fish in wax paper. That kept it from getting soggy from the juice. Will definitely eat here again!!

Boonie Mac Shack is a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit! My friend and I stumbled upon it while heading to Subway, and after a tip from a fellow patron, we decided to give it a shot. We ordered the Sloppy Tip Bowl and the 3 Wing Dinner, and wow, we were not disappointed! The flavors were rich and comforting, with the wings perfectly crispy and the bowl packed with delicious soul food goodness. If you’re in the mood for some hearty comfort food, this place is a must-try!

Unfortunately, the beans looked and tasted like they were straight out of the can and the fries that I had to wait for because they had “just gone down” were pretty cold and not at all crisp. I did not buy any type of meat, only baked beans and fries. (I opened the bag immediately when I got in the car so it would be as fresh/hot as possible.)

I was eagerly looking forward to trying this place out as I’m from NC. I checked Google Maps and it listed this restaurant indicating that it’s currently open. Yet here I am at 5pm no less and the restaurant is clearly closed! To add more salt to the wound, they post this sign on their door saying they’ll be open at 4 pm. While it’s understandable that things may come up during the holiday season, don’t post signs saying you’re delaying opening your business and not open at all. Although I’ve yet to try their food, this speaks volumes on how they run their business in my opinion.

It has great signage and a clean interior feel. It definitly looks like a quality, professional place!
I had rib tips, lemon-pepper chicken, beans, greens, & fries. Greens were still ! Some of the best greens I’ve had in ever.
The ribs were thick and meaty drenched in a tasty bbq sauce. Definitly get a good portion in the combo. However, the meat this time was tender & tasty especially the bottom tips that were drowned in the sauce
The chicken wings were huge and meaty. Again an A+ for portions. Lemon pepper had good flavor and not overbearing.
Overall, good portions, fair price, clean place, desserts on deck, great look….I will definitly be back for those great sides and to try other options.

Great owners/cooks. They really care about their customers and feeding them well. Great Fried Catfish, amazing Rib Tips, delicious Wings, loved the cold Green Bean Salad, and the Pecan Pie was to die for!

Very nice bbq joynt, the place was very clean, and I was promptly attended too with a warm smile, I ordered a small ribtip which was very tender delicious!! I will point out that the sauce was a bit on the sweet side not tangy like I prefer,but that’s just a matter of taste, will definitely be going back want to try the catfish
