This place is awesome! It’s nicely tucked away from everyone. We are hesitant to write a review because we don’t want it crowded, which could slow us down from getting to the delicious catfish. We will start by saying that they only take cash and checks. We didn’t have either, so we had to scurry to an ATM. The little gas station at the top of the road DOES NOT have an ATM. We had to go up towards Madison. The line starts filling up before they open, then people just pour in. Before we were seated, Lisa told us that she was going to let us know where an ATM was, somewhere closer, but we got out of there so fast she didn’t have a chance. Very nice lady! Our waitress, Amber was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. The hush puppies were delicious! The coleslaw was some of the best that we have had. The catfish was hot and fresh. It was basically still cooking when it got to our table. It was like $20 for all you can eat catfish and well worth it. We will definitely be back. Maybe today! Give these folks a try. You won’t be disappointed. Just save us some!

We go there a couple times a year and the food and service is exceptional My husband gets the catfish filets and said it was awesome. I get the bbq plate but mostly love the Brunswick stew I love the hush puppies! I would have given them a 5 except my table was sticky and the salt and pepper shakers were sticky and needed to be wiped clean on the outside We got there at 5pm so it wasn’t like other people had used them. When we left around 6pm there was a line outside waiting to get in. I recommend giving this place a try if you have not visited before.

Passing through from Virginia and fell into this place. Boy am I glad we did. Service was outstanding! (The iced tea for this parched traveler just kept coming and the wonderful hush puppies were delivered before I even finished sitting down. The catfish was the best I’ve had in years. The stew was better (well at least as good) as what we have in Virginia. Saved this place to my gps so I can come back on my next trip to ‘bama to see the inlaws. Thanks.

Just average. The menu is very limited. Also they do not take credit or debit cards. We didn’t know this until we went to pay. Fortunately we had cash with us. There are times I don’t have cash with me and not knowing they only take cash could be very embarrassing. I ordered fried pickles but they forgot the pickles. Actually the pickles were sliced so thin you only tasted the breading. I ordered fried shrimp and they were cold when they brought them out. I have to say that I was very disappointed since I had heard how good this restaurant was suppose to be. They need to add more items to their menu.

For this to be family owned they didn’t show care or concern about mine. I had a daughter that came in later than we did they sat at the table with us and we ask if they could be served we were told yes and no one came back to the table to take their order. My daughter her husband and my 2 granddaughters had to leave because no one showed any interest in serving them after saying they would we were also told that when they took there order that it would come out later than everyone else wasn’t sure what that meant but I guess they wanted to punish us for not all being there at the same time and you could tell that by the dirt looks they were giving us. That was my last time ever going there apparently they don’t care much for family so that don’t need my money. I will be sure to let anyone I know or come in contact with to never do business with these people. If I could do no stars I would.

In my opinion the BBQ and Stew was inedible. Fried Shrimp was chewy. The fried pickles and Hush puppies were awesome however. One trip to the salad bar with a very small desert bowl was nice. The crowd I was with seemed to enjoy their catfish…so if you’re going for catfish then maybe this is the place!

We use to come here at least twice a month with no issues but last few times we have came the service SUCKED the fish had been either not cooked all the way or over cooked. Also 3 of us got the all you can eat fish the waitress was trying to bring out 1 plate for 3 people with maybe 5 fish.. each person that orders all you can eat should get thier own plate and not have to share and not have to reach over the table crossing other people food to get the fish..

They were short 2 servers tonight so that’s why the 3 star rating on service. Our waitress was very nice. The atmosphere was not a 5 because the room we were in was very cold. The food was not a 5 because every other tater tot was cold then one was hot. Our appetizer of okra was to come with our dinners but it didn’t come until half way through our main plates. They were good though. Now the catfish was a different story than everything else… FANTASTIC! GREAT! I was raised on fried catfish in Kentucky and have been searching for something comparable…this was almost an exact match! We will be back!
