Well this place use to be great.. under new management now and newly reopened so I don’t wanna say it can’t be great again because it sure can. But this visit was not that great. Menu very limited, didn’t have traditional pastas, soups, or even a veggie with the trout or the chicken. Not cool, and not a balanced meal. So what did I like? The chicken was great, little heavy on the rosemary side but good. Trout was way over cooked, and the chicken liver pate was not good. I really hope for the best here, the atmosphere is wonderful and with a better menu and more professional staff this has great potential

Very different from the old Bon Ton (we’ve been twice before, 2021 and 2022). This version is absolutely amazing! We ordered the caprese, gnocchi, and pollo. The fried tomatoes were perfectly done. The gnocchi was clearly hand made and the flavors with it were well chosen. The chicken was perfectly done and came in enormous beans with a nice smoky flavor. The food and atmosphere here are better than a $100/person fine dining restaurant we’ve been to (in another state). Prices are reasonable for the area, expect about $25-$30 per person. The amount of food was respectable, not what I’d call enormous, but certainly not small. The food quality made it worth the price.

This place is absolutely amazing. The handmade pasta, friendly service and overall quality is incredible. The restaurant has been named the bon ton since 1889 and just recently changed hands. Such an incredible history to the hotel and restaurant. The new menu, chef and concept is incredible.

Not a lot of restaurants really impress me but this was one of the most enjoyable meals I have had in a very long time. Fresh simple ingredients that were very well prepared and tons of great flavor. The place was spotless. The staff was knowledgeable and the service was fantastic. These people are passionate about what they do and it is reflected in the food and the overall experience I had dining there. Its not just the food, which was fantastic, but the whole experience. We’re going back for brunch today and I look forward to dining here again when we come back.

I was a bit surprised that we had to make a reservation a day in advance and based on 3.8/5 rating considered cancelling. It did not take long to realize that it was the 4/5 that was off and Bon Ton popularity was deserved. The ribeye was exceptional as was my wife’s tortellini with pesto on the side as recommended by our server. Service was excellent as was the overall atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Affordable fine dining with amazing food, awesome service, and 90% of the menu is gluten free. We had two entrees, split a dessert with ice cream added, and 4 drinks for $129. Devon was super friendly and gave us recommendations on what to do. Will definitely come back!

As others have noted, this place changed ownership recently. I never had the pleasure if the old, but the new was a great find. A knockout view from the patio, and delicious handmade pastas and breads. There were great GF options for those who need that. Both the server and the hostess were attentive and personable. A nice finish to the day and a great alternative to the burger/sandwich restaurants which dominate the area.

My husband and I went here for our wedding dinner and had an amazing experience. The food was incredible and the staff were so nice! All of the staff came by to congratulate us on our wedding. Matt was our waiter and he was so attentively and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely and it was perfect for the special occasion. Definitely check out Bon Ton if you are in Ouray!
