The Food here is Phenominal! I have waited a long time for Indian Food to be delivered to my door I had the Curry Chicken it was so delicious so tender the rice was outrageous! The portions are huge I had some for the next day. Very happy would recommend over and over.

Being a typical Punjabi, chole bhature is one thing I miss from back home. Not just any chole bhature but a very specific type which you find as an Indian street food, extremely popular in every city where people would drive miles to get a bite to eat. Bombay River Express has exactly that taste, flavor and feel that you would get in India. They have it on the menu as a weekend special, I highly recommend checking it out.
Overall the staff is very friendly and the facilities are very clean and well maintained. Glad to have some really lol good Indian food around us. Go check em out.

We ordered mirchi pakoda, masala fries and Hara bhara kabab and total was around $22 just for 3 items and the quantity was very less. None of then tasted good and very expensive. masala fries didn’t have enough masala and not at all spicy. mirchi pakoda were okay, would have them again. and hara bhata kabab were so oily, never had kabab like that. Overall wouldn’t recommend to have food here idk if they have something else on the menu which really tastes good.

Bombay River is truly my favorite restaurant in Monmouth County. I have enjoyed their delicious meals since they first opened in Red Bank a few years ago…and they recently opened a convenient take-out spot in Ocean! Sam and Puja are very welcoming and hands-on which I think sets Bombay River apart from most restaurants. Some of my favorites are the kofta (spinach and malai), paneer masala and daal makhani. Whether your dining in at the Red Bank location or picking up takeout in Ocean, Bombay River is sure to please! They even have a special clay oven to make the breads in the traditional way-delicious!!!

The owner needs to know his website menu. I had a large dinner order, 3 dinner meals off the regular menu and 2 other dishes that were “all day specials” which were apparently not “all day” specials after driving all the way there. I had a rather large order and they would not honor their website menu and it’s a shame they lost my business. The owner was rude and not accommodating in any way even after I explained the error on his website. I would understand if I was in error but I was not and treated badly after trying to explain their error. Just be aware their menu is not correct on the website before you order. I will stick with Haldi Chowk and Neelam in Middletown. They are both delicious and very nice owners.
Update: As to the owners response to me below-He NEVER said to me they were online specials only nor does their website state that they are on line specials only. The website has the option to order on line but that is it. Had he said that, I would have sat in the parking lot and ordered on line from my phone instead of going in and would have thanked him for the clarification. No problem there at all. But he just kept saying they are lunch specials and he wouldn’t honor them for dinner and was extremely abrupt and rude and hung up on me. He unfortunately is lying on his response to me and tries to belittle me as well. It is truly a shame when businesses are struggling right now and they have good and patient customers like myself and treat them badly. Shame on him.

Very disappointing meal. Was quite surprised when I saw the reviews.
Ordered chicken tikka masala and it tasted like Italian marinara sauce out of a jar. not authentic not creamy.
