Did a quick search on Southern Cuisine and Bobby D’s jumped out at us. We’re so happy we went there! I tell you that was one of the best meals of my life! The kind of real cooking I often can’t get up north. I had the roast chicken and stuffing, amazing collard greens and the best red beans and rice I’ve ever had. Don’t miss the jalapeno cornbread! And the family that runs it is just the best, 11 siblings, I think most if not all still working there they were so fun and helpful and had us laughing, I hope they’re proud of what they have going there because it’s just the best! We can’t wait to hit this place again next time we’re back in town, I might even have to make the 9 hour drive down just to go back there for lunch.

This place is legitimately the best southern food I’ve ever eaten. My best friend and I broke down nearby, and we came over to grab some food, not expecting much. We left an hour later after stuffing ourselves more full of steak, greens, corn bread, sweet tea, coffee, and pie than we thought possible… amazing food, amazing southern hospitality, and I would honestly make a trip back just to eat at this place again.

WOW Top notch! Spent $20 on lunch, a little on the high side, but I didn’t even need dinner after. Worth every penny. I had the Salisbury steak with a twice-baked potato, green beans, and mac & cheese. Everything was full of flavor, and the portions were generous. Left feeling completely satisfied, definitely got my money’s worth.

We stopped by after church while in town visiting family. Loved everything. My wife had the catfish, greens, and sweet potatoes while I had the smoothed pork chops with mashed potatoes and cabbage greens. Everything was well seasoned but not overly seasoned, and I still don’t understand how they got the cabbage so flavorful without adding meat. We will be back the next time we are in town.

Some of the BEST food I’ve had in a while! I got the BBQ pork chop with Mac and cheese and collard greens. The meat melted in your mouth and everything was so fresh. You can tell they take the time and care in the quality of their food.
