I’m from Indiana, been living in Southeast Georgia for over 15 years, this restaurant near where I’m working in Jacksonville really takes me home. I had no idea it was here. The servers have always been fabulous and the for always comes fast and fresh. Love it!!

Maybe this visit was atypical from the Bob Evans on San Jose and Hartley in Jax FL. Have been a patron here since 2007 and I remember when the service and quality was far superior then vs today . No smiling servers on duty this evening. Food came out lukewarm instead of piping hot. Price was the only saving grace here tonight. $8.88 for the Dinner Bell Country Fried Steak….

Our waitress had zero personality and was not attentive at all. Our fried pickles had more fried chicken in it than the wildfire chicken salad. Asked for NO tomatoes in the salad and it was packed with little slivers of tomatoes that we had to fish out. When the waitress returned to bring the 3rd thing she forgot, she saw both of us FISHING tomatoes out of the salad and didn’t say a word. Never asked how Our food was and just plopped the ticket on the table. When we checked out the greeter/cashier was very nice and at least she asked us how it was . We briefly explained and she was empathetic while offering a manager. We just wanted to get out of there. This is not the Bob Evans that we remember. The food only gets 2 stars because the pickles tasted good. ALSO, if someone asks for DIET COKE, you as a server should know to explain that you have Pepsi products and not Coke. Then wait another 20 minutes for a different drink. The place was not even busy on this Saturday night at 7pm. I guess now we know why. It shouldn’t take an hour for a salad and pickles when there are only 5 other tables seated in a restaurant.

Lovely
First time here. We came around lunch time. It wasn’t crowded at all. We ordered sweet talea and it came in cute mason jar glasses. Food was delicious and the service was good. We ordered the half sandwich and salad or soup. The grilled chicken cranberry pecan salad was delicious with their colonial dressing. The BLT was very tasty as well. The only complaint was that my mom’s chili was cold. The server took it away but never returned with a replacement. The manager did come over and it was taken off our bill. I would definitely come back for another visit.

This location was nice but the cooks were extremely slow. It took a long time to get our food everyone was complaining. The servers were great and tried to keep a smile and the customers calm through the wait. The food once it finally made it to the table was good. All in all it was brunch and it filled us up. I recommend the food not the cooks.

The food here is really delicious! The prices are super reasonable, and their special deals like Early Bird offer a great value – you can get a satisfying meal for around $8-$10. What’s really impressive is the cleanliness of the place! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you are vegan, options are limited. Recommend

I have been to this location a few times before and decided to go here for breakfast today, being that I was in the area. I managed to find a parking spot upon arrival. Service can be slightly slow at times. I decided to order two bacon, eggs, and cheese biscuit sandwiches, hashbrowns, and brown gravy on the side. The biscuits were fresh and fluffy. The hashbrowns were flavorful as well. The gravy was thick and flavorful as well. I will return to this location again.

Good down home cooking. Service is always good, the servers very pleasant. We travel over an hour to eat here and always take home a bit of sausage gravy for later. It is the best I have ever eaten!

We were on this side of town for medical appointments, which also prevented us from having breakfast beforehand. As you can imagine, the hunger level was high by the time we finished. I remembered this place. After completing the medical appointments, we headed over to satisfy our hunger. We walked in and found it to be fairly busy. After a short wait, we were seated, and our server quickly handed us our menus and drink orders. I was looking over the menu and saw several great options. I chose the Big Wrangler breakfast, and my wife went with the Rio Grande Omelet. Our server was attentive, and my coffee cup stayed full.
